Had a kid bring his wet, bloody tooth and plop it right on my desk.
C'mon now!
Or the kid that did running knee slide into my office.
C'mon now!
The ones old enough to cover their mouths but choose to cough right in your face instead.
All together: C'mon now!!
Some things just make me shake my head.
I am supposed to go to a conference in regards to a student's behavior. At the beginning of the school year I made a thread asking if I was the person to call the parent because teacher believed the student wasn't taking their meds and their behavior was off the wall. The mom is always hostile whenever the topic of medication comes up because the response is usually, "NO HE GOT HIS MEDS HOW DARE YOU ASK HIM ABOUT MEDICATION WITHOUT ANOTHER ADULT HE LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING." Teacher wouldn't call because 'she didn't have time' and also did not report to CPS about a student's burn mark on their neck and shoulder(I made the call cause I had the hunch teacher wouldn't do it). Fast forward to now and the special ed teacher sent an email to social worker and I saying she and teacher believes he hasn't been on medication for a while and she believes he can get his medication while at school(just so we can witness that he is getting medication). Social worker and I collaborated and agreed a conference meeting would be the best thing since we both do not feel safe around this mother. We call up mom about setting up a meeting and she said she had no idea about his behavior at all because nobody has called her about him misbehaving. C'MON!
Kid was sent up because he didn't want to play at recess. The note from the teacher said "rest during recess, return at 1:45".
So I am a literal baby-sitter right now. Never mind that there are actual sick kids that need to "rest", and he is taking up space.
This one was more than a c'mon now. This one actually made me angry.

Recently, a teacher and counselor made a CPS report for a parent not giving ADHD medication. They were both told that the investigation would go no further as they feel that the parents have a right to decide on these types of medicines and withholding was not life threatening. The dad brought me a one month supply and when I ran out, I never got anymore. I called dad several times when he first ran out and that is all I can do! Yet, the teacher still wanting me to call every week even after what CPS told her. I am not going to harass this family!!

Umm...I don't hand out tampons to 4th and 5th graders...if you'd like a pad I've got plenty of those!
I just posted about tampons in the WILTW thread. The teachers are worse than the kids. They don't carry their own? C'MON now!
But yea, a 4th grader and a tampon? No.

Send those who don't want to go to recess to the library, the office, the counselor...

I am so beyond done...Just had a request to take a photo of a lac (near the eyebrow) so it could be shown to docs at hospital to determine if it needs a stitch. I think it does, and I am not quick to send out for stuff like that. The pic was not even to a parent but a friend...NOPE!
For the most part, I am on my game when it comes to whether or not they need a stitch or not, I am on the fence with this one. So off he goes.
