I'm almost 32 and just about finished my first quarter back. I will have 9 more pre reqs to take before I can apply for the program. I would love to chat with others and cheer each other on along the way. OH, and does anyone else think English 101 is kinda hard?! And why the hell does it have to be one of the 4 classes that count at my school? I'm going crazy!

Hi everyone!! I'm 31 married with 3 kids youngest is 2 & working two jobs , & just finished my last preq. For the nursing program for my ASN degree. I'm taking the teas test in aug & apply to the spring 14' semester . I can say that it's never to late to go back to school, that's a good feeling !!! Super excited!! God bless each & ever one of us that's over 30 & doing it!!! ✔✔????

I am turning 32 in August, single, no kids, and just started my prereqs at HCC in Tampa. I am applying to the ADN and Radiation Therapy programs in 2015. If I am accepted to the ADN I plan to roll into my bachelors (which may be my only choice then by FL law as they plan to phase out the ADN programs) and most likely Masters programs.

Also, any other prereq or current students with multiple visible tattoos?

I'm not a very good student so I really need to focus on picking up new positive school habits. Suggestions are welcome!

Hi all! I just turned 31...no kids and work full-time. I am done with my pr-reqs! I applied for Spring '14 but I'm not sure if I need to wait one more semester. I work fulltime and want more time to save more $ since I don't get financial aid. :(

We'll see...waiting game for now!

Hi, I will be 47 next month, work full time, have kids ages 11 & 16. I've completed one undergraduate degree already. I have 103 credit hours done, just completed A&P 1 during the Spring. My school just started offering a LPN class in the evening hours. I need to retake my ACT test that I took way back in 1984 when I honestly did not know what I wanted to do in life. I also need to take my Teas. I have a 3.2 GPA and A's in all my math classes and all but one Science class..... but I'm nervous. I have been with my current company over 25 years and have a six figure salary. People wonder why I'm doing this. I do too sometimes. My wife has been a RN for 28 years and is working on her NP. Her plans are to have her own practice. My ultimate goal is to earn my PN license first, then Bridge into a RN degree.... Then follow the same path she's on now. Also, I work in Aviation, you never know with this economy what tomorrow holds. I don't want to be caught flat footed. All said, very nervous about getting into and succeeding in Nursing. Good Luck everyone. Oh yea, I've also been taking classes as of late one or two at a time.

Hi, I'm 44, married for 23 yrs and have 4 daughters 22, 20, 17 and 7. I took all my pre-req's for PHCC's RN program in the spring and am taking some co-req's right now. I just found out last week that I got accepted into the program and received the packet today. So EXCITED for this new journey!!!

I was just accepted into the ASN program. I am excited but nervous! I am 38 years old and have 5 boys ages 12, 11, 10, 8, & 6. I worked really hard on my prereqs. The biggest concern for me right now is how I'm going to balance everything. I had control before of choosing when & what classes to take. I controlled my schedule so I could go to class & study while my boys were at school. Now, I'm not sure what schedule I will have.
