I'm almost 32 and just about finished my first quarter back. I will have 9 more pre reqs to take before I can apply for the program. I would love to chat with others and cheer each other on along the way. OH, and does anyone else think English 101 is kinda hard?! And why the hell does it have to be one of the 4 classes that count at my school? I'm going crazy!
Hi all, I'm 31. 4 kids (10,9,4,3). On my next to last semester before applying to 2 different RN programs (as a plan B). I'm currently taking a cna course, studying for teas exam, a&p I & advanced med terminology. I'm a little overwhelmed this summer semester but I know next semester will be easier :)
Thanks for starting this thread! Good luck to you all!
I'm 31 and live in Tennessee with two stepsons (6 & 3) and their dad who works 60-72 hours a week! I will be starting my RN program in the fall. I've been out of school for a while so I'm just as nervous as I am excited! I'm blessed to have a lot of family support on both sides and I'm sure going to need it. Good luck everybody!
Nice post! Not 30 but 27 is pretty close! I am married with a 5 year old daughter I am currently taking English Comp over because it did not transfer with me from my previous schooling
I have about 5 more classes to take before I can apply to my nursing program. Good luck to everyone and we can do it!!
Hi everyone! I am 41 years old with 5 kids, they are all spread out in ages, 4 are boys and my youngest is a girl. She has lots of medical problems and is what peaked my interest in becoming a nurse. I have finished all my pre-reqs and have taken the TEAS V test and am waiting to see if I get accepted to the nursing program. I'm glad to see so may others in the same boat at our age! Good luck to everyone!

I'm originally from TN, around Chattanooga area :)
I am 37, 38 in July. I have 3 children 19,16 and 10. I've been an LPN for 13 years and am starting LPN to RN in July. I am so nervous and don't really have much of a support system, as far as babysitting for my 10 year old. I don't want to have the 16 yr old babysit as she isn't his responsibility. Anyway, good luck to everyone I LOVE this forum. :)

I might be the old lady here. :) I'm going to be 49 in November and will be applying December 2013 to start the program Fall 14. I have 3 classes left and I'm done with prerequisites and have taken and passed the PAX. woohoo! The awesome thing is my 22 year old daughter and I will be applying at the same time and hopefully going into the program together. Our goal is to pin each other at our pinning ceremony. My other daughter is at the same college in the rad tech program. It's a blast! I have found that being an older student has actually been to my advantage. I know how to study and I am not as distracted as I was when I was younger. It is NEVER too late to do what you dream. I love this thread and SO look forward to hearing all our success stories in the future! :)
