This is so inspiring! I too will be in somewhat of the same situation next year when I apply to a few different nursing programs at different schools, good to know what to look out for and that patience really does pay off! Good luck!

If u can, find a friend to watch your kids once or twice a week for a few hours. I have 4, I am incredibly lucky to have found a friend at this duty station who has already been thru nursing school and understands. Study when they are napping, let go of the fact that your house needs to be perfectly clean :) , focus on your studies, and take it one day at a time.

Do you have any prerequisites done yet? If not lpn may be a good way to go right now then do an LPN to RN bridge.

6 weeks. Tuesday and Thursday evenings 1730-2130. Saturday 0900-1700. Clinicals last 3 Saturdays

Hi my husband and I just left hawaii in December and are now at carson. We were stationed in HI for 3 years before we moved here. We don't expect to be at carson for more than a few years but my hubby is going to try to go to Japan for a year which would extend our stay here for a little while so I can finish school. I don't apply to the RN program until fall 2014, so we need to be here for at least 3 more years for me to be able to finish. Good luck!

Our instructor said Pearson would do 5 skills with the first one ,of course, being hand washing. I get nervous when the teacher is watching me do a skill and forget steps. Thank you for the advice to not let it slip me up and keep going.

Anyone have any tips for doing well in a&p online? Anything is appreciated!

I'm taking a&p I this summer. Starting may 28. 10 weeks long.

I'm not worried about the written exam but the skills part I am a little. What did you do to prepare yourself before the skills part? What skills were you given to perform?

I'm originally from TN, around Chattanooga area :)
