We have the most awful gray smocks!! I hate them, They go over our all white uniforms and are trimmed with our school colors. We wear our school badge on the sleeve and all white leather shoes. The smocks are terrible...
DEATH TO THE SMOCKS!!!

Our uniforms are royal blue or white scrub style tops and white scrub style pants. We where the white shoes and white sock. We also have the patch on the left sleeve and the big picture ID badge- but you have to where that everywhere. I didn't like our uniforms until I read all your postings- ours sound pretty good now. Good luck in Nursing school.

For the females, either white pants and top with piping in school colors of marroon and gold or a dress with the same theme.
Unfortunately the males are dressed in plain white zippered jackets with white pants and either white shoes(who the hell would wear that) or black. There are no school colors or any indication, other than the zippered dentists jacket and the nametag that we are students at that school.
we could be escaped mental patients!

Wow, I feel lucky! We wear dark teal scrub style pants and a polo style shirt in either white or the same color as the pants. The shirts have our school name and program embroidered on them, we also wear a name badge from our school and the same badges as the facilities where we are doing clinicals. White shoes, no clogs, can wear plain white sneakers.

I actually like our uniforms.
We wear navy scrub pants and a scrub top. We do have to sew a patch on to the left sleeve, and then we wear our school I.D. that says Nursing Student in really big letters.:chuckle
We also have a white lab coat with the patch sewn onto the sleeve, but this semester it is optional to wear it.
One of the reasons I applied to this school is because of the uniforms. I can't imagine having to wear white pants.

i am sooooo jealous of those who get to wear some "color"!! we have white tops/pants or dress and they guys have white tops/pants. we have to have primarily white shoes (maybe only a touch of grey or light color), white socks, white lab coat. tops/lab coats must have a school patch sewn onto the left sleeve and we have a picture id badge plus a name badge to wear on the left side of chest. only jewelry allowed is small earrings, wedding rings (if not large), and a small necklace (if worn inside top and not dangling). geeeeeezzz!! i have grown to hate white!!! grrrrrrr!!!
have a good semester all!!

Do you have to wear your uniforms to class? or just clinicals? I am applying to nursing schools now, the one I really want to get into has clinicals every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday for 8 hours each day. Would I have to wear the same clothes both days? (yuck)

Heidi,
We only have to wear our uniforms to clinicals. I purchased two uniforms so that I only had to wash them once a week. We are free to wear "anything that doesn't disrupt the class" to lecture and skills lab. Hope this answers your questions.
Good luck this semester!!
