Hello all!!! I am 35 years old married w/ two wonderful kids. I work full time and I am starting w/ my pre-reqs ..... eng, math, psych & hopefully chem. I am hoping to complete my pre-reqs with a high GPA since this will determine if I get in the nursing program. I'll be keeping my fingers cross. Good luck to you all and lets not forget to smile once in a while. We need to keep our sanity!!! 10_1_19.gif 4_6_200v.gif 4_1_115v.gif

Hello everyone! My name is Tracy, I am 33 years old, married for 13 years to my high school sweetheart and mother to 3 beautiful little girls aged 10 months, 6 and 8. I am starting my pre-req's Part time this fall, because I am paying for it out of pocket. I am taking Eng and Bio this semester and then my anatomy and microbiology next semester. I just found out that the school I am attending is redoing their entire nursing program so I will also need to take anatomy 2 and psy as pre-req's which means I wont be able to apply to the program till Spring 2006. I am ok with this because in the Fall of 2005 I will take all the other classes that I dont have to be formally admitted to the program and then all I will have left are the nursing classes. My estimated graduation will be May 2007, but could be July 2007 depending on scheduling.

I am so excited to get started! It is nice to meet everyone and I hope to get to know and support all of you.

Glad to be here!

Tracy:)

Yeah ! Great thread ! I will be finishing up my pre reques this fall (anat and micro) and applying for F 05 around January. I am very excited yet anxious. 07 seems so far away but I know it will go by so quickly.....

hi everyone. i may have posted all of this before, but incase i didn't...i'm also a 2007 grad hopeful. my name is christy, i'm 28, happily married and reside in ky and am a stay at home mom of 4 boys. ages 10, twins 8 and the youngest is 18 months. this sem. i'm taking general psych, writing i, pre-algebra and intro to computers. i figured i'd get most of the boring stuff out of the way first, ha ha. i have to take pre-alg and another math class before i can get to take the college level math course (ugh) so if i'm lucky i'll be graduating summer of 2007. good luck to everyone, hopefully we can help eachother through and be the graduating class of 2007! yay! :balloons:

Greetings from Georgia! I'm a 38-year-old mom of a 9-year-old boy and a soon to be 6-year-old girl. I'm finishing up my prereqs this fall with anatomy and physiology II and then microbiology and a speech class (yuck) in the spring. I hope to be accepted into the ADN nursing program next fall. Oh, wait a minute, we all need to think positively...so, I WILL be accepted into the nursing program next fall. I'm a medical transcriptionist, so I work at home and will continue working while I'm going to school. I'm so excited and so nervous all at the same time! Good luck to everyone!

Hello there,

I am a stay at home mom of three ages 6, 4 and 3. I just decided this week that I want to take up nursing. I just applied to my college and my registration is on Monday. I am planning on taking Intro to Biology and Sociology (hopefully it's still open when I register). I received an AA in Bus. Admin. in 1998 and I'm hoping that most of the general classes I took will be honored so I don't have to take it again. I'm in California and the classes start on Aug. 30.

I have one question, my school is offering online class to Intro to Biology. This is my first biology class and I'm wondering if I should do it online (more convenient for me) or go to school? Is there a difference?

Hello Everyone!

I am La Donna. I am 23, in NC. I started my pre-req's this summer. In the Fall I will be taking Algebra, A&P I, Chemsitry, and Dev Psyc(online). I am hoping to get into the BSN program for the Fall of 05, but the ADN program is my plan "B". Things are pretty competitive around here, but I very excited about it! Good luck to all!

I'm Erin, 25, I live in Minnesota and I'm the mom of a 2 1/2 year old boy and a newborn girl (born July 15). I took most of my pre-req's last year, but have a couple more to do this year. I've already been guaranteed admission to the nursing program for Fall 2005, so I'll be graduating in 2007. This fall I'll be taking Nutrition and Ethics. I was lucky enough to get them scheduled back-to-back, three days a week, so I won't have to be away from home much. I have a previous degree in French and will be earning a second major/post-bacc certificate at a four-year college.

Hello all. I will be a 2007 graduate too. I'm finishing my pre-reqs this year and I only have two classes left: A&P II and Microbiology. I'm 48 and have a great supportive husband and two daughters in their 20s and in college themselves. Kel, I'm a Michigan gal too. I'm attending Schoolcraft College in Livonia (outside of Detroit) and have been accepted into the actual nursing program for next year. Hope to get acquainted with all of you!

Hello all! My name is Heather. I am a 28 yr old SAHM of two (3 and almost 5), living in Mannheim Germany. I am taking A&P and General Chem with University of Maryland UC(Europe), and I have applied to Deaconess for 05. I am waiting to hear from them. They may as well just accept me now, because nursing is all I want to do, and I'm not going away until I'm an RN! :) (Being overseas, DCN is really my only nursing school option, and I don't want to wait two more years to get back to the states just to be on someone else's waiting list, so I'm just not taking no for an answer! ) TOWANDA!

Seriously, maybe I should lay off the caffeine a bit...

I think these boards are just incredible and I wish you ALL the best. We're in it together and I feel so blessed to have such a great group to learn from.

Liebe Grusse auf Deutschland!
