Hi! I know the application for CHLA's RN Residency Program doesn't come out until March 2nd, 2020, but I just wanted to get a heads start!
I'm planning on applying for their NICCU and was curious if anyone knew what the prescreen interview would consist of?

I applied to the PICU residency. I am from Seattle and will be graduating in June. I had my practicum placement set for a split position between the PICU and ED at Seattle Children’s Hospital... we were supposed to start this month, but with COVID-19, everything was cancelled about two weeks ago.. super upsetting and feel like that may just completely take me out of the running.. anyone in a similar situation?

I'm in the same boat! Set to graduate in June in California, but our practicum placements were put on hold for the time being. I was told this morning that we senior practicum students are being allowed back into the hospital with certain restrictions--hoping to hear more in the next day or so. They're trying to make sure we still graduate on time, but I know things are still hectic with delayed NCLEX test dates and everything else. Hopefully your school/hospital are able to work this out for you. We've all come so far and we'll make it through. Keep your head up!!
My test date was in March and it got pushed back due to pearson closing testing centers. I was going to take my exam in 2 weeks and now it got canceled AGAIN and I had to reschedule to July. I'm curious how pearsons will settle things because there are hella people that graduated in December who are trying to take their exam still.
I graduate in May and was told I can not register for the test until after my school clears me. At this point I am worried there will not be any space at the testing centers to take it in June. Additionally my school does not do practicum placement, but my ICU clinical rotations have been canceled. I’m worried about being prepared for nursing. I applied to the NICU, so adult ICU may not translate completely, but it is hand on experience that I know for sure I do not have enough of. I turned down a job already because I really want CHLA, but now I am getting really nervous.

What state are you in? Or is this for the whole country??? All the way backed up into July??? I don’t graduate till mid May and it’s nerve wrecking how backed up NCLEX might be when I am finally able to register for the NCLEX.
@mm2020 I'm in California. Pearsons Vue has closed all testing centers in the US until May 1 and it can be extended. I checked pretty a lot of locations and the closest date to take the NCLEX for them was middle of July. I'm hoping they'll open up more availability so I can reschedule for an earlier date.

@bayareanewgrad I finally got a hold of them today & they assured me interviews are still on track to begin in May. Has anyone been contacted for an interview yet?

This happened to me as well and I am a December graduate... curious how you are planning on staying fresh during this long wait to test. Pretty much my entire cohort has tested already and I'm feeling a little lost/left behind. Any tips?

I'm going to try to study a little bit each day just in case I am able to move my exam date up.
