  1. I'm a inpatient bedside nurse very interested in transitioning to a school nurse. Do you have any tips or advice for us new school nurses that are unfamiliar with this type of work? Anything you wish you had known when you started? Would love any insights you may have. Thanks!
  2. If you go onto City of Hope's career site they have all of their open job listings. You'll see the residency listed as "New Graduate Clinical Nurse I". It opens about 3 times per year, so just keep an eye out there. Hope this helps!
  3. The entire program is delayed in starting until Jan 2021, but I think the interview dates are all unit-specific. I have my first interview with PICU next week.
  4. Just got an email that I have a virtual interview for the PICU later this month! With the start date pushing to January, I'm hoping this will help everyone involved to be able to take NCLEX and secure their license in time. With all the delays due to Covid, September may have been a bit tight for everyone to get their testing date.
  5. I applied to PICU and have been frantically checking my email. I'm so nervous!
  6. I'm in the same boat! Set to graduate in June in California, but our practicum placements were put on hold for the time being. I was told this morning that we senior practicum students are being allowed back into the hospital with certain restrictions--hoping to hear more in the next day or so. They're trying to make sure we still graduate on time, but I know things are still hectic with delayed NCLEX test dates and everything else. Hopefully your school/hospital are able to work this out for you. We've all come so far and we'll make it through. Keep your head up!!
