Chemeketa 2017 RN entrance

Published

Anyone else applying for the 2017 entrance? I'm taking CHEM 110 and BIO231 this fall, and hoping to take BI 232, 233, PSY 201 and CIS 101 this winter before applying. I already have a bachelors degree which should cover the other pre-reqs. Do you basically have to have a perfect score to get in? Does anyone know more about it? Their information is so lacking!

I am! My interview is on Tuesday ;) I'm so glad the Kaplan test is done, now all I need to focus on, besides my current classes, is that OHSU interview

That's exactly what I was thinking. Did you find out a timeframe of when we will find out?? I got an 84

Also, anyone interviewing with OHSU Monmouth? Mine is on Monday eek!

I'm just going according to last years blog, scores should be uploaded around the 24th and everyone started finding out around May 4th.

I interview with OHSU Monmouth on Monday at 1pm.

What did you score on the Kaplan?

I was hoping we would find out sooner since we didn't test twice this year. I think the canceling on Friday screwed that up though. Ugh!!

I got an 88. I'm good with that because honestly the writing section was soooo unexpectedly painful. I'm really good at writing, and I felt confident in my answer choices but I still didn't do as well as I wanted on that part, but it is what it is!

nice score! I got 87%. That writing section was ridiculous.

It was ridiculous. I honestly don't see how mastering that section will make us good nurses!

I know, the writing section is awful.

Last year, they first sent your overall scores so you can look over and make sure it is correct. They give you about a week to look over the score sheet on mychemeketa and if there is something wrong notify them asap. Then after that week, around beginning of may they send the acceptance, alternate, and decline emails. I did notice that they send acceptance emails and alternate emails first and decline letters last.

I was alternate 20 last year and i can tell you im the only one with the alternate points this year because they went through 19 alternates.

Wow, I didn't know that( this is my first year applying ) I'll have to check over my scores. Thanks!

So, they send us this info or is it already posted to our Chemeketa account?

Yep, when you go to my chemeketa on the tab where registration and everything is there will be a nursing score sheet tab and the enrollment center will put your score there when they have finished counting everyones.

I dont remember if they send an email saying your nursing score sheet is up or if you just have to keep checking your my chemeketa page
