Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program???

Published

The other day I was on the cedars-sinai website looking at jobs when I noticed they had posted a new grad program job listing. I applied and received an e-mail confirming my application. I went on today to check my status and it said I never applied to the job... then when I checked for the listing, it was also gone! Does anyone know what happened? Did they cancel the program or something?

I'm slightly confused...

Anybody heard anything about the 2nd round interview???

I had my first phase interview couple weeks ago, they told me I should hear back something by the end of April. Even I did not make it through, I should also get an email. But till now, I have not heard back anything from them.

I haven't heard anything yet. I thought they were going to notify people today. I'm just checking me email and hoping like crazy that I get something.

I just call the HR. They say they will let us know if we continue to 2nd interview by next week. I am so nervous...

I just received an email this evening that I am moving on to the next part of the interview process! It is on Friday May 21st as other posters have said. Cross your fingers everybody, and keep checking your inboxes!

i also got a second phase interview!! :)

I also got the email. Congrats to everyone moving on.

Does anyone know how many will receive a second phase interview? and how many will be chosen? :) Congrats robotmonkey!

The nurse recruiter who interviewed me said that they are narrowing down 1600 original applicants into 150-200 that go through to the next round..then a final 50 new grads will be chosen for the residency..

I got my email notification today for the second round of interviews..good luck to us all! :nurse:

Alright, so i'm a little confused..

I received my confirmation email regarding my phone interview...and when it lists the interview information it gives the date, time, person, and ADDRESS???

I thought this was a phone interview...but now i'm confused.

the ironic thing is, I have another interview at another hospital on the same day one hour later...so if it is an in-person interview I won't be able to do that because I've already committed to this other interview. If it's a phone interview I suppose I could do it in my car in the parking lot of the other hospital before my 2nd interview begins...I hope that all makes sense to you guys...

Those of you who had phone interviews, how long did they last?

So it sounds like you are getting an invitation for the 2nd round interview without getting a 1st round phone interview? I would say try to reschedule the other interview if you can.

No they just put the Address of the HR dept as supplemental info. I followed up with HR and it is extra information.

I got my 2nd interview invitation today! Very excited, now its my turn to jet set down to LA...anyone from Nor-Cal going down and know of good airline options and prices?

Thanks:D

I'm from nor-cal as well...I drove down today for my in-person interview with another hospital...unless your interview is scheduled in advance it might be more worth it to drive...flights are at least $100 one way vs. $~70 in gas round trip..and you won't have to worry about getting a rental car either or something...i dunno. as boring as the drive is, it really isn't that bad, i made it down here from SJ in 5hrs
