Hello Everyone,
Here we go again! This is my second time applying to CCBC's nursing program. I look forward to chatting with everyone as we wait for the GOOD news! I believe things happen for a reason! I have good faith that Fall 2011 is going to be my turn for acceptance. I guess we will see if I am right.
For anyone who was not accepted this Spring, we can be a great support system for each other :).
GOOD LUCK!!!
I just spoke with the admission office...get ready for this...they are HOPING to have the letters out during the first week in JUNE! They have not yet made all of the folders containing all of the required informaiton for review (transcripts, TEAS scores, etc). They are hoping that this will be finished by the end of this week so that review can start next week...
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!
How disorganized can you possibly be? They were swamped by online applications and have not yet been able to catch up. What did they expect?
I have hard time believing that in 7 weeks they still haven't put folders together. I called again today and was told the same thing; June. However, last week I called and spoke to someone different and was told Mid-May. So, who knows. I am thinking about calling L. Simmons. She may have a different answer. I will post what she says.
That is incredibly disappointing. It should not take that long. However, I have to say I'm not sure I believe that. When you get your pink card in the mail it means they have everything they need from you, your teas scores, transcripts, etc. So your folder should be done at that point. There's no way it's taking them 2 months just to put folders together.
I sincerely hope that what they said is wrong. To make us wait until June is absolutely wrong.

Exactly! There's no way folders aren't put together and I have a hard time believing that they're still sending out pink cards at this point. It's very disappointing and discouraging.
Am I the only one who registered for fall as if I get rejected? I reviewed my transcript the other day to see what classes I would benefit from retaking for better grades and that's how I registered. It's not like any of us can register for nursing classes without orientation, so I felt I just needed the back-up in case I get rejected. :-( Sucks but what else can you do, you have to prepare yourself for the worst case scenario. I'll repeat a few classes and retake my TEAS and go from there.... given a rejection letter of course! *hopes for the best*
Corrine,
Your right. I would like to take classes this fall as well. It is not fair that we have to put things on hold and get the last pick because of the unknown. If I get rejected again, I am going to be heartbroken enough. I don't need to add more stress because there are no more open classes.
Good point about final grades! I am taking a higher English class that I have an A in. They should use that as one of my englishes; but I don't think they will.

Has anyone's application status been updated? Mine still shows under review, so by now you would think they'd be finished reviewing. Just a thought.
