I am SO glad I'm not the only one who keeps singing that song when I read "poor unfortunate soul". I even hear that octopus lady say it in my head as I read it. Funny.
As for the main post, try and figure out a way to deal with a stressful life. It's only going to get worse once you get into nursing school -- after all, you're just doing prereqs :) I also think your class load should have been thought out more before you signed up for all those extra classes that aren't even required toward your nursing major. Having so many extracurriculars is pretty much out of the question once you start your "real" nursing classes too so you might want to ween yourself off of those now. Prepare for nursing to consume your life!! :)

So, I know this is gonna sounds weak, selfish, and pathetic but I just want some pity. I am a pre-nursing student rounding out the final set of nursing specific pre-reqs. I had advising two weeks ago, and my wonderful, blessed, amazing adviser very nonchalantly said that "Oh, your grades are good enough, you only need to make Cs in the remainder of your science courses, and you're a shoe-in." Whew! Boy did that take a load off my shoulders!
BUT!!! While she recognized how hard my schedule is this semester and has advised me to take the next sets of classes SLOWLY just to relax before the storm, I'm just finding myself struggling with my current load. I'm taking Chem 2, AP2, Span 1, Macroeconomics (online), and Guitar (was looking for a fun place to relax during the week, but it's proving to be a bit of work). Spanish and guitar are both HIGH A's. Macro will ultimately be a B in the end but it's ******* me off with the amount of work required. But JON BON JOVI, AP2 and Chem 2 are freakin hard! I know, I know...(said very stoically by the old crusty windbag they keep stashed in the Bio department) "Ana-toe-mee and Phys-ee-ology are the BASIS of your future professions!" If I could just be a student and nothing else, I probably would be less inclined to complain. BUT, not only do I take a full load, but I work six days a week for a total of around 20 hours/wk where I am in a position of responsibility and authority (aka, not riding a desk where I can do my hw on a slow day). On Sundays, I lead a church group for middle school boys that takes ALL afternoon, and I also volunteer one weekend a month with another group. It's just all SO time consuming! I barely have enough time to do laundry that'll keep me going let alone get it all clean, folded, pressed, and put away. Healthy eating? Out. Exercise? Out...and that's one of the MOST missed. Free time? Out. Social life? Out.
I'm not looking for a magical fix it. I just would like someone else to read this and said "you poor unfortunate soul," and then go on about their day. I only have 36 more days of lecture and then I am officially done with ALL HARD pre-nursing classes and just that much closer to being a nurse! Thanks for letting me whine guys!
