Anyone applying to calhoun community college spring 2015??
Glad to hear it, MissMeeks. I hope I make the cut. I have 147 if I figured it right. I am glad I found this site. After looking at posts from you and Shinnishi, I was very excited to see that they are not going to skip both Summer Semesters. Of course, I would prefer if they didn't skip ANY, but I was sure that the class would not graduate until middle 2017, so to find out that graduation will be in late 2016 was exciting! I'll take it!!!! I am 50 years old, so 6 months or so makes a big difference to me! Ha!!
Hey y'all! From what I understand they admit around 100 people. Is that split between RN & LPN or is 100 just for the RN program?
It looks like they won't be admitting for the LPN this spring. When I applied there was no LPN option to apply for first or second choice. Usually though, the LPN program and RN program spots are separate.
Is anybody else taking the Phlebotomy class at Calhoun starting this Friday (Sept. 26th)? It is non-credit but it will sure ease my mind about sticking people if I get it over with and get some practice at it. I would love to get a part time job doing it for the experience but I don't know how demanding the Nursing Program will be if I get in.

@ Jay my info was the same as yours. She said they put everyone into a spreadsheet from high to low score. Then if they are going to take say 100 ppl, they go to number 100. Let's say number 100 is Jane Doe and her points are 137. They will take EVERY APPLICANT who has a score of 137 or higher!
