Just wanted to get the momentum moving for CSUN's BSN program. I got my letter today confirming that my application is in. Already knew that since I hand delivered it ahead of schedule. Now only 4 months to go before I hear anything. How will I ever not lose my mind?
Hi guys,
Just got a call from the program that I've been admitted for Fall 2010. I've already accepted an offer of admission to CSULA and I'm going to stick with it because it's just so much closer to me and offers the Masters, too. They asked for me to decline in writing and I hope that someone else gets a chance at this program who really has their heart set on it.
Good luck to all you guys and sit tight - looks like the news is coming soon!

Congrats SuzetteBC!! :anpom:Wish I was part of the Summer cohort, too, so I can finish sooner. On the bright side, I can work a few more months and save some $$.
Does anyone know when the Fall 2010 class graduates? 15 months from August would mean November, but Fall semester ends in December.
I was put on an alternate list... so the only way I'll be in is if someone drops out. I'm so dissapointed. It's the 2nd year I am applying.... I have a 4.0 on my science prereqs, 3.8 on my bachelors/upper division... Great recommendations, some internship experience in healthcare facilities, etc. And still can't get in. And I actually thought this will be the year:(
On the other note, congrats to those of you who made it!

Hey Firefly199,
Please don't give up hope. I am sure many of us applying to nursing schools have applied to multiple programs. With that said, there will be some applicants who will withdraw their acceptance. And just know that you have awesome credentials. The fact of the matter is the nursing programs are so impacted that it's impossible to accept every qualified candidate. If I could have it my way, everyone will be accepted.
Keep your chin up. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Don't despair Firefly199. Your chances of getting in is still pretty high as an alternate. Thisisit is right. Most applicants apply to multiple schools. I applied to three and will likely give up my spot if I can't get into the Summer class. If I have to start in the Fall, I prefer to go for the MSN at CSUF or CSULB. Innatchka declined and I am highly likely to decline... that makes at least two more open spots for alternates. Keep your chin up.
