My friend and I applied to the nursing program at Cal State East Bay for Fall 2010 and she received her conditional acceptance package to the nursing program today. I on the other hand have only received an email (last week) requesting transcripts for the nursing department even though my application went in before hers. On the website it says that throughout December they will be emailing out requests for transcripts, not acceptance packages, so I was just wondering if I should be worried. Has anybody else received an acceptance or conditional acceptance package?
I could be wrong but I think an applicant is pretty much accepted as long as he/she received the conditional admission letter & the intent to register form. My application status says "AL Data Verification Needed" also but I think it's because I'm taking classes right now at a local community college. I would imagine once those grades are submitted & processed around June, my university application status would then change accordingly. If you received the intent to register form from the university & mailed it back with a check for "yes", doesn't that mean your spot at the university is reserved?
I received my acceptance letter to the Nursing Program on the 21st via e-mail (HAPPY DANCE!), but I was already attending the university, so I don't know when those letters are expected to be sent out. BEST OF LUCK!
I'm already at CSUEB too, with a health sciences major. Do you know what we're supposed to do to add the nursing major? The "add/change major" form says not to use it for nursing. Do you think the department will take care of it for us?
I imagine that the nursing department will take care of changing your major for you, if this is not the case the orientation in July/August will most likely address this issue
Yeah I just called.. they change it for us. I wonder if they will change it soon or not, I'd really like to be able to take History of Nursing this summer to get it out of the way.. but only NURS majors can register for it.

I guess I'm not the only one that's being overwhelmed with the university admissions. I too am still waiting for the acceptance from the school. I thought it was due to me being a second bachelors and they were waiting for the nursing department's letters of acceptance. Thanks heads up LN1703 if you can find out more information about admissions.
