CA NCLEX Takers...How Long For Results?

Published

Hi All,

I am new here and just wanted to see how long it took for the Cali takers to get their results. I know it is supposed to be about a month, but one girl I know got hers in 11 days. I guess I am just trying to see what the average is. I took mine on May 7th and I am going bonkers!

Thanks!

If you were issued a temporary license, your name should be up there now. That needs to be listed there as well.

I noticed the list is updated once a week? that's what it says, so perhaps by next week maybe it will be there...?

You would see your name with the temporary licenses that are issued if they have given you a number with that.

Usually just takes a week to ten days to see the permanent license number up there and that is all that an employer needs to see, they need to be able to verifiy that you have a license number that has been issued to you.

I took my test this Monday June 16. I woke up early on June 19 which was Thursday, and I checked the BRN website. My name was on it already, 3 days (if you count the first day I took it = 3). So I know it's random for some, but suzanne's right. Average wait time 3-10 days to about 4 weeks. No more waiting for me. Good luck to all that are about to take or have taken it already.!!

i took the test on the 17th and checked the website as soon as i woke up this morning thinking i'd see results (since it has been 3 days)....no results. i pretty much woke up crying. =\

i wish we had pearson quick results in Cali!! the waiting game is horrible. i'm still keeping my head up though. not knowing is the worst feeling ever!!

Sorry, but you are never going to see Quick Results as long as they permit CA grads to test before they even receive their transcripts. As long as your name is on the roster sent in by your school, then you are granted permission to test.

And actually only about 1/2 of the states in the US participate in Quick Results, it is far from being a large portion of them.

Best of luck on your results.

Congratulations on passing the exam.

CONGRATULATIONS HANNABEE! I've been reading your posts and could feel your pain... I am still waiting for my results I took the nclex-pn May 27th and I called the boards today.. said they were working on the week of the 19th and that they should be sending the week of the 27th towards the end of next week.... I hope I hear good news like you and dizzy!

I love the support on this forum... not that many people know I took the exam and just hoping I'll suprise them if I PASS!

Please keep me in your prayers! Thanks.... =)

P.S. the comp stopped at 85!!!! I hope that's the "good" 85.

I took my exam on June 16 and had my name & license # posted on the morning of June 19. http://www.rn.ca.gov only updates the site once a day so it's useless to keep checking it repeatedly throughout the day (although I'll admit I'm guilty of doing it).

I haven't received anything in the mail yet...but at least the stress is off my back!

I heard that it can take up to 10 days to see your name posted. It depends on the status of your application.

I just want to let you know that all will be well. I got my letter yesterday with a pass after my second try. I took my test on May 19 and am sure yours is on the way. By the way the comp stopped at 85 too. One thing i know for sure, when the envelope is lighter, its good news in it. Am so glad i made it. Good luck to you too and i will be checking out to confirm your good news.

Sorry, but most will not see their name up in 48 hours. And shame on your instructor for telling you that.

Average wait time is actually ten days, and can be up to a month.

The earliest is two to three days, but that is not the case for most as the BRN will permit one to test before they have a completed file on them.

Sorry, but thats what I've heard...and its scary...Like what if our name isn't in the BRN website, then we would be in so much anxiety...All of my friends who took the NCLEX swear that their names were in the website 2 days after...but I guess youre right...THANKS Suzanne...I feel better that it is actually 10 days to a month! :)
