  1. I passed my NCLEX-PN in December '08 :dance:and haven't mailed in my application and paid the fee to receive my license yet. I already went on two jobs interviews, in which I just explained to them that I am awaiting my license in the mail and just showed them my letter from the boards that I passed (which was acceptable). Both job interviews went very well and was asked to go on a second interview for both... One of the jobs is looking very promising and I'm hoping to get a job offer letter very soon ... so I need to get my license! I was just wondering if there is an expiration date from when you receive your passing letter to when you can apply for your license? btw. I live in California Thanks

Thank You.. Thank You.. Thank You..

thank you! but not a registered nurse... a licensed vocational nurse! this is only the beginning and I WILL one day become a RN.... But my advice, since this is my second time taking the test... is to try to relax during the test, (i know, easier said than done)... but you just have to think, "you will be there at the testing center for the WHOLE maximum time limit" and take it one questions at a time.... don't rush it and don't give up easily on a question even if it seems too hard... just consider each question... and remember safety always! as I think of more advice I will help out as much as I can.. just like many people here on allnurses.com has helped me! good luck... and let us know when you have joined the club!

    Getting More And More Anxious!!

I do understand... and I'm sorry I guess I just needed to vent , lol... but I'm okay now. I know I am very grateful for having the chance to test and test again until I become a nurse. I also know I am very grateful to have passed the hardest part of becoming a nurse and that's having to go through nursing school. I will take your advice okfresh to stay off of the threads for awhile atleast until I hear word of my results. I'm glad to see you are doing very well during your wait =) and I'll talk to you soon... in the meantime, I will enjoy the xmas weather we are having in california... and of course, enjoying my time with my little ones and my family.

    Getting More And More Anxious!!

lol... i know i probably am... but did you have to wait 4 long weeks for your results? cuz it's really hard... I have been doing a lot stuff to get my mind off of it and getting out of the house... but as soon as I have free alone time to myself.. like driving to work.. my mind starts wandering and thinking about the exam.

    Getting More And More Anxious!!

Okay it's been only a week and two days since I took my nclex-pn... (on tuesday 11/25th)... and I'm getting more and more anxious and scared! the comp stopped at 86!! not 85... 86! had NO MATH and only 1 SATA!!! I did feel a little confident after taking the test... but as I read more threads about SATA's are a higher level of questions.. so if you get more SATA's on the test then that's good... I'm starting to freak out... why did I just get only ONE! On another note: I'm glad I had NO MATH (which I've also read that it's really good not to have because they're considered lower level questions)... but 1 sata? and stopping at 86? that would either mean two things to me: 1. I only recieved one sata because I got that one correct and didn't need anymore sata's? and I stopped at 86 because the comp figured I was above passing. or... 2. I only had 1 sata because I got that question wrong and didn't need to be asked anymore sata's? and I stopped at 86 because the comp figured I was below passing. maybe I'm just thinking too much.... and I guess I need some words of encouragement as I wait 3 more weeks for my results to arrive via snail mail (because I live in california)

    Unbelievable and Unexpected

CONGRATS NURSE!!!:yeah: You are so lucky you already found out your results.. of course you took the RN exam so it's faster for you... I took my test last week too nov 25th for my PN Exam... and stopped at 86... don't get to find out for another 3 more weeks through snail mail!! yikes! wish me luck!

After 3 attempts at the NCLEX-RN..........

thanks for your input... I just took my nclex-pn on tuesday 11/25th.. comp stopped at 86?!! 1 SATA and NO math??!!... I'm just hoping that I passed... I was wondering if there were anybody who passed with only 1 SATA AND NO MATH? I didn't think it would be possible beause I heard SATA's are harder questions (which is good to have)... but you proved me wrong... this was the second time taking the test, I failed the first time and I KNEW I had done terrible... but this second time I really have more confidence that I did good... I don't find out until 4 weeks cuz I live in california.. so I'll probably get around xmas time.. (it would be the best gift ever if I pass!) I'll keep u updated... congrats again nurse!!!

Just curious - How many SATA questions did you get?

Weird... am I the only one who got one 1 SATA?? I took nclex-pn yesterday... computer stopped at 86 quesitons.... oh and I got ZERO math too... I hope that isn't a bad sign... is there anybody who who passed with only ONE SATA???
