CA NCLEX Takers...How Long For Results?

Hi All,

I am new here and just wanted to see how long it took for the Cali takers to get their results. I know it is supposed to be about a month, but one girl I know got hers in 11 days. I guess I am just trying to see what the average is. I took mine on May 7th and I am going bonkers!

well... i don't know if they will give the results in person. i know you can pay for your license in person.

I think most of my class would have just driven to Sacramento if we could have! (as we are all in the Bay Area) but I guess we all have to go through the waiting game! and some people, like us, are the unlucky ones who have the "over a month" waits! Most of my friends waited 3-4 weeks and THAT seems long!

i am also from the bay area. took the nclex last saturday and been dying to see the result as soon as i got home (though technically i assume i would have to wait at least 4 days to a month and beyond). just have that kind of feeling, im sure you know what i mean.. waiting is the hardest thing for me to do, and i can totally understand how you guys are feeling right now. we're all in the same boat. you just got on sooner, and been waiting a little longer. but i hope and pray we get our results and end the agony soon... and of course, hoping and praying that we do get positive results and get our butts off the sofa real soon.

I finally got my letter today and I passed. I'd like to say the waiting is over but now I have to wait for my license. BUT... the worse part is over. :loveya:

congrats! I got the mail today, nothing, so I still wait...but I am so happy for you!!! what a relief!!! you waited how long? 6 weeks? it is 5 weeks today for me!...

No it's different in California, we don't have quick results and you aren't posted on the nursing board until you pass and then send in the money for the license...at least that's how it is for the LVN, RN I believe is slightly different...

RN you will see name at some stage if you have a SSN on the Ca BRN website. If PN then it is totally different and will not see name on the site until you have received your results and paid for license.

yes, you can check on the BRN website after 48 hours...thats what I've heard from previous NCLEX takers and my kaplan instructor...but sometimes it may take longer!!!
