CA NCLEX Takers...How Long For Results?

Hi All,

I am new here and just wanted to see how long it took for the Cali takers to get their results. I know it is supposed to be about a month, but one girl I know got hers in 11 days. I guess I am just trying to see what the average is. I took mine on May 7th and I am going bonkers!

April 24th? Oh no, that's awful! that's 2 weeks before I took mine!

Hi Hannabee...

I know your pain. I've been checking the mail everyday. I run out as soon as I hear the mailperson. But 6weeks and no letter.

I'm calling on Monday and hopefully I get a person as nice as you did! I could easily just snap with all this anxiety. It's enough to drive a person crazy. Hopefully it's just lost and there aren't any problems.

We can anxiously wait together! Good luck...

Dizzy don't forget to call today! because I called last Thursday and was told my letter went off last Monday or Tuesday. It sure helped to know it was on it's way although I am still very nervous and unsure. I wasn't so unsure after the exam but after a month I am! it's so hard to prepare for either good or bad news...I really don't want to sit and do NCLEX questions for hours again! but if it happens it happens! It's been 1 month and 2 days since I took that dang test! Funny because I know the day I find out I passed the NCLEX is a day I will never forget. It's a strange feeling because any day now could be that date that could get lodged into my brain for eternity...or it will be not a good day and I will just have to repeat the process again. At least we don't have to repeat nursing school! :specs:

Hannabee... I called and I know I'm being tortured for no reason. My original results were mailed out may 20th and somehow were sent back to the boards. They told me it was just resent today. I'm praying this week will be the week. Wish me luck. We'll probably find out this week. Let me know when you pass.

oh man! so there is a chance even though they sent off my results (supposedly) last week the same thing could have happened! :(

got the mail today, no results...I am on hold right now as I type this to the BON..:confused:

i know here in arkansas we do not have quick results threw pearson, but you will still get results in 48 hours or less though sbon.

Sorry, but each state has different requirements and CA does not have early results for either the RN or the PN exam.

And they never have results posted in just 48 hours. And for the PN exam, it is never posted, a letter needs to come in the mail as the license is not paid for in CA until they actually pass the exam and receive a bill for the license.

Things are done very differently in this state than others.

Well I called the BON and the person I spoke to said that my results were entered into the computer on June 2nd but the letter went off on Wed or

Thur...now I am worried because I am thinking if I passed I would get, I heard, 3 sheets of paper, but if you fail you get more "stuff" to re-register...that would take longer to put together? I am second guessing myself I guess. I guess they processed everything on Monday, but why so long to prepare the letter unless...well I guess I'll get the news soon, be it good or bad...at least things seem to be moving along...they need to move forward either way! so I won't be sitting in limbo!

I know stewing can make you think the worse, but stay positive. From what I have heard you get the results quicker if its a fail. Just keep positive. You have enough on you mind of just getting the letter. Once you get it you can stress about the pass or fail.

I do get the feeling that they say it was mailed already at the BON just to get you off the phone. I'll give it a few days before I call. Makes you want to just go over there!!!

is that an option? I think next time they say, oh it's in the mail, I will say 'can I just drive there and pick up the results? I mean being as I have no results and no nursing license I am just putting a dent in the sofa here!'

well... i don't know if they will give the results in person. i know you can pay for your license in person.
