Broward college May 2012

Hi I would like to apply for the generic May 2012 entry nursing program at Broward college. Any one else looking into applying for this program. Let's help each other out in this process. I know it's a bit early but I'm excited !!!:)

Can anyone shed some light on the new admission procedure for 2013 that was possibly discussed during your orientation? If you know what it may entails, please inform. Thanks.

@nayenay40 Once you wrote that you wanted to defer and told them until when, they will change your status to "Decision Deferred". If you accepted at the meeting then changed your mind then you have to send the email. Check your status at MyBc, mine has been changed. I did email to ask about deferring as soon as we got the acceptance email and was told that I had to attend the pre-admission meeting and just sign the agreement stating that i wanted to defer. If you asked to defer on that form and your status has not changed, then send them and email to make sure. When acceptance letter go out for august we should receive emails telling us of the pre-admissions meeting for August.

Unfortunately i will have to defer my seat until August, that wasn't the initial plan but its the best choice for me right now..... I really wanted to start and get it over with but i have some financial straightening out to do before the program and before i quit my job, and August will give me more time......Goodluck to all!!!!!

Hello I am planning to apply for august 2012 I am done with my pre-quires I have a (3.65) gpa and im taking micro right now I took my hesi exam reading(86%) grammar(84%) math (82%) a&p(92%) I have to take the vocabulary over because i got a 72% I was also a part of HOSA in high school? Do i have a chance of getting in?

Oh but of course you have an awesome chance of getting in, especially since there are 3 campuses open, i had to defer from may because i had to financially prepare myself and 3 months wasn't enough time, the people that got accepted into may were accepted with scores no lower than a 3.0, so your chances are superb!

Would you know what the changes will entail for Jan 2013? It was mention by another poster that this was discuss during your scheduled orientation. Thanks...

They didn't specify what the changes would be but i am pretty sure they are going to make it a little bit tougher to get into the program, my best guess is that they are going to make micro a requirement.

hi guys

today i went in apply again for the nursing program at central( this is my third time applying). i turned in my application but tonight i see my status says " pre admission". what s that mean ? the first 2 times i applied it said " application in review" and later changed to " not accepted" . i am really confuse. cause the application period just started and won't close until may 15, 2012. it s a little too early to show pre admission. is there anyone out there that having the same status as me ?

Hi guys

I called the health science department today. The reason my status said pre admission it ,s because so many student deferred their seat for may 2012 so they went back to the one that were not accepted. so if there some of you who applied for may 2012 and did not get accepted. check your limited access application status. If it s said pre admission now. You might get an email shortly . For pre admission session
