hey to all,
right now i am at a lost for words because i just checked my email with broward college and i was accepted, so i know that others must have received a confirmation. just to confirm it i called and spoke with twanna burnee and she confirmed it. so, good luck to all others who have applied. to be completely honest, i really didn't expect to get accepted since it was a very last minute thing. cheers to me and others for the summer program!!!!!!!! i am in, i am really in.........:yeah:
:yeah:
can someone tell me how long the orientaion is, what do i need to bring with me?
maybe i can tell tell im coming in late. they would rather hear that than i miss the entire day. if im absent they act like they cant do nothing without me.
my orientation was all day. well, until about 1 or 2 (i think). i had to take off the entire day. you have to go. at orientation, you will sign a form indicating that you accept your seat. i would bring a notebook, pen, and all correspondance that i have with bc nursing program (mail and e-mail). also, take your core (hcp) course certificate. they asked us to bring it but no one looked at it. i would take it just in case.
congrads, call the school that know you have other thing to do. but let them know the situation they will understand.
i don't think the school will understand. in the e-mail i received when i applied, it was crystal clear that orientation was manditory. so many people were declined. if you don't go, i think they'll simply move to the next person on the list. i may be wrong, but i doubt it.
Ditto, whaqt LeavingteachingforRN said. My sis said that those who didnt' showed up lost their seats. That is one of the reasons why alternates are told to attend. They usually can tell them right there if they will get a spot. At least some of them. This orientation is mandatory and shouldn't be missed.
My sis at south said that it lasted about 34 hrs but that they had them spilt in 2 groups as it was a large incoming class. Take snacks, water bottle/drink and notebook.
Regarding exceptions, I have found that in Nursing school, they rarely make exceptions even if the excuse is legitimate and good.
Thanks ladies, Please pray for me that I get a seat.
Im kind of sad right now I failed my Pharm exam this mrng...you guys were right Marshall is a tough teacher. I have to kick butt for the remainder of the exams and its getting HARDER. But ill give it all I got.
Question whenever I see they post the schedule for BCC nursing i never they write Pharm in there only Process 1&2 for first semester. Is Pharma a separate class or do they incorporate within Process? ty

"I will be sending an email to you all in about 30 minutes, but the meeting will be held at the Central Campus, the FAU/LA building room 120.
It will be on Friday, February 27th at 9:00 a.m".
