So let me set the scene for you. Baby momma #1 gets admitted in the early AM for labor gets admitted into LDR #5. Later that afternoon baby momma#2 walks into triage as a labor check. Baby daddy walks out of the LDR #5 (proudly mind you)to tend to Baby momma#2. She gets admitted. Baby daddy asks our nurse manager if they can put baby mamma #2 into a neighboring room. Nurse manager goes . The unit is too busy and we cannont accomodate his request. As baby mamma#2 walks down the hall she wants to stop by and say hi to baby mamma#1. Baby daddy goes back and forth until baby mamma#1 delivers around 4pm. Then 6hrs later baby mamma#2 delivers.
And oh yeah these aren't his first kids and he was overheard bragging that there is another pregnant girl out there carrying yet another one of his baby's.

Ew! I hope everyone of his babies mommas takes him to court for child support.
I just don't get how people can be so irresponsible. I understand people make mistakes, but don't you think you'd learn the first time? Or at least the second time?

It's sad that these young women have so little regard for themselves as to tolerate the father's despicable behavior. It's also a shame that they probably don't have fathers in their own lives who would hold the scoundrel responsible for raising his children and supporting their mothers.

He's probably never had a job, and never will, and knocks them over the head on the first of the month and steals their welfare checks.

and the kids are the real victims. I bet there is little or no money for their support and they will live in high risk situations, without a father. Not only that, what are the risks of STD's? Disgusting.

We had a similar situation a few months back where daddy (better said, sperm donor) had two different mamas on the same floor with babies a day apart. One was threatening the other calling her room etc threatening to kick her *** both in and out of the hospital. Big to-do.
I kept thinking to myself - why does this girl keep getting mad at the other girl? Those two women need to get together and kick HIS butt up between his shoulder blades.
Not that it makes a difference, but the guy was not even good-looking.

...which is one of the reasons I didn't go into OB nursing, the family dyanamics have changed so much since the 70s, when I was an OB aide. God help these little ones and I do hope SW get in on the act, maybe supply him with forms to fill out for support (prob. in my dreams, as I don't know how or who does that).

I had a patient one day who told me the FOB wasn't going to be with her because his new girlfriend was in labor at a local hospital. His mother was with my patient and her two year old grandson. It was so very sad....
