This is a forum for anyone applying to Brookhaven college ADN program for Spring 2018.What tips can you offer? Any challenges? How was the dosage calculation exam? Any tips for the critical thinking exam and the interview? How many points are you applying with?
Hello everyone. I am also applying for the Spring 2018. I just took my CT and I made a 78. When I took the DC class a student asked the professor how it was calculated. She then told him she made a 60. He said for the CT that is an okay score. That it is like 6-7 points and most people make between 60-70. I am just trying to figure out how many points out of the 15 I got. Any one have any idea?
11.7 points is correct! Have you already taken your HESI?

Thank you everyone for clarifying that. I have not taken the Hesi yet. Tomorrow is the first day to schedule the Hesi at Brookhaven. Im going at 8AM to make sure I get a spot saved. Im hoping to take it the first week in September.
Hi everyone,In Brookhaven website, I see they said: "The HESI A2 can be taken at any school that offers the HESI A2". Does it mean if I took the Hesi test on El centro already, I can bring that score to apply Brookhaven?
Yes, your score from El centro will suffice for the Brookhaven application. However, you can only take the HESI A2 once per application period.
Hello everyone, I am hoping to be part of the Brookhaven Spring 2018 Nursing Class. I have all of my prerequisites done and just passed the dosage calculations class last week, which was the last thing left for me to do and now I am ready to apply. I am applying with 38.8 ish points and hope that, that will be enough since there are only 40 spots for the spring semester. Good luck everyone!
Hello everyone,
I will also be applying for spring 2018 class! Good luck to you all! I will be applying with 38 points so hopefully that's a competitive ranking! It's so hard to predict what the pool will be like. Does anyone here know anybody in the program? I am just curious about what the day to day schedule will be like. I know in the information session it says Monday thru Friday with clinical being 7 am to 7 pm. Does that mean all day at campus on mon thru Friday plus the clinical? Trying to nail down logistics before I can make a decision on which school to attend pending (fingers crossed) I get accepted to both schools I applied to.
- Oh, my goodness y'all, I am so excited for all of us, the uneasy feeling of applications is certainly hitting me this week.
- I was wondering if any of y'all have had your application reviewed by the program yet to verify that the application is done to their standard? If so, I'd love to hear details as I am terrified I'll have something incomplete!
- Anyways, I'll be taking the CT exam this Thursday! I hope to be applying with around 35 to 38 points, depending on my CT score.
- I know most everyone is wondering where everyone stands point wise. If you're willing, please reply to this comment with the points you'll be applying with. (The Dean, Dr. M told me that to his knowledge, he believes everyone who applied with 33+ was accepted -- I think that was after some people declined their spot in the program but that's just a guess).
- Lastly, I wanted to thank everyone who has, or who is participating, in this thread as it's proving to have been a beneficial resource.
I'l be taking mine tomorrow as well! Maybe we will see each other then :)

For the CT exam, I would say that is a good score. Avg in our group was 11- 12pts.
You take 78% of 15 to calculate your points. So that gives you 11.7 pts. Good luck!
