This is a forum for anyone applying to Brookhaven college ADN program for Spring 2018.What tips can you offer? Any challenges? How was the dosage calculation exam? Any tips for the critical thinking exam and the interview? How many points are you applying with?
Hello,I am planning to take the HESI next month. I purchased the Elsevier HESI exam review book. Are all the subjects in the book on the Brookhaven HESI test? on the brookhaven website it does not list biology, chem and physics as test subjects. Just wondering so I don't waste time on those subjects. I appreciate your feedback
Only study the subjects required by BH. That book is a great resource. Good luck!
This may be an obvious answer...but is there a time requirement on BIOL 2401? I took mine in 2011...so that's well over 5 years. Meh. I don't want to have to retake it!!! TIA.
Many programs set "expiration dates" on courses. However, Brookhaven doesn't have that. To my knowledge, your course taken in 2011 is fine; double check with Barb Huntsburger
I want to try to apply without having any support courses done. Has anyone ever tried that? I mean the worst that can happen is not get accepted and then trying again the next semester with some support courses done right?
Anything is possible. You would need to score in the high 90s on your hesi and do real good on the critical thinking exam and have As in your prerequisite. I will say that those that have been accepted struggle balancing the supporting courses with the nursing courses, some even fail or have to drop out of the program. But again, anything is possible. Personally I always advise everyone to take all the supporting courses before you start the program...it's just lest stressful.
Best of luck!
Hello everyone. I am also applying for the Spring 2018. I just took my CT and I made a 78. When I took the DC class a student asked the professor how it was calculated. She then told him she made a 60. He said for the CT that is an okay score. That it is like 6-7 points and most people make between 60-70. I am just trying to figure out how many points out of the 15 I got. Any one have any idea?

For CT score, 15 points is if you score 100% so in your case if you scored 78% then that is 11.7 points
