Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi!

I had my medical exam last April 4. When would i possibly receive a feedback that my medical clearance documentation were successfully received by the embassy?

Am I supposed to make a follow up through via centre?

Or should i wait a little more for their feedback?

THank you!

from where are you?? im from davao and base from the other forumers here, 2weeks after they did their medical they receive their visa.1 week aftr medical, the clinic will submit the result to the embassy and 1 week after, visa was out. i believe that the processing and waiting time will depend on where your location at.. i am also waiting for mine and i have done my medical last april 3.. patience is a virtue :)))

Hi joji! no, i hav not even started the online course yet. I just got my offer letter, I think someone backed out from the July intake so they just gave the slot to me the other day. I am still considering the things for visa, I am currently seeking consultations on that. I am also hunting for a good flat with which i can share it with. do hav accommodations already?

Hi Janelly! I just booked my accommodation with IHNA.I don't like to worry about stuff like that so I just booked with them as it is more convenient for me to do. I am also almost done with the online course too...will lodge visa maybe next week , Godwilling ..I just received my CoA last Friday afternoon.....hey, jane, they will give you 8 weeks only to finish your elearning otherwise they will charge an additional 50dollars for an extension if you can't finish it in 8 weeks...plus they will move you to another intake...you will be given access to the elearning after you have paid the enrollment fee.. :)

Hi Joji! thanks for that info! can you send private messages already? Cause I can't. If I can have you're contact number or e-mail ad?

Hi jane... I can't send pm yet...been trying to send one but it won't go through...my account isn't activated yet... i already requested for a new activation code...will pm you once i can activate it...

Hi Jeny01... I received mine last February 27 but didn't got enough time to answer it cause of work and besides there is power curtailment in our place..so the electricity is on and off everyday for around 8 hours.. so its very hard for me to do the elearning then..3 weeks passed and I only answered 2 quizzes i think...then i received an email that the elearning is open only for 8 weeks and they will restrict access afterwards.. I was alarmed so i decided to take a leave of absence for 4 weeks (April 4-26) to do it full-time..for now i think I have done an 80% of the quizzes excluding the case study and poster but im not sure if I got 80% of correct answer....I got till 26th of this month to finish it...as to my counting there are 31 quizzes for all modules, so if u goal to answer one per day...u can do it in a month..in my case i have to goal 2 to 3 quizzes per day to finish it in time .... so hard time...i still have not started the case study yet...start answering yours now so you could have ample time for your case study... goodluck to us....

You need 15 quality posts (not short 'me too' or duplicate) to access the PM system in addition to a verified email address to reduce potential spammers. You could also upgrade to one of the paid premium memberships to access PMs immediately

Hello Jems,

I am from Davao also. I had my medical examinations last March 26 and am still waiting for the embassy's feedback. I tried to call the embassy's hotline to inquire about the status of my application. I was told that it takes 6 weeks to process the visa for bridging course from the date the application was received. Can you please update me if you already received your visa? By the way, what type of visa did you apply for? Mine was Subclass 456.

Joji, I read from another thread that you don't need to finish all. 80% would do. Here's the thread: https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/bridging-program-australia-556691-page56.html
