Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi!

Do we really need 2 doses of mmr and varicella vaccine? My immunization provider said one of each vaccine is already enough. Should i insist of having 2 shots each?

Yeah, I too am curious about this. Lonsdale/Alpine appears to be lax on the immunization requirements...As long as i produce a certificate of vaccination records, their okay with that. But how about in the future, when you apply for work, will they be strict about this and do they require 2 shots even if you'v gotten 1 when you were a child?

I just got my offer letter from IHNA Perth, May 31st intake. :)

HI there soulkisser! I read that you took the May31 Perth intake. I have an offer letter from IHNA for July 12 and I'm wondering if you could help me out with handy tips ans perhaps accommodation contacts...? Thanks pretty!

Hi! Anyone here took and will take their BP at ACFE? I'm scheduled for April 29, 2013 intake. =)

Having one dose doesn't guarantee residence hence why most will have 2 to ensure immunity is built up

Hi. Is there anyone here who could suggest of a good nursing school in Sidney that provides bridging program, and that would of course offer an affordable tuition fee? Just recently got my eligibility letter from AHPRA. Now, I think I'm in. lol.

thanks.

I am for July intake in Etea. What are the needed documents to be passed to AHPRA after the bridging program? I am a student here in Sydney and when i had my holidays last year, i had my stop over in Malaysia and someone snatched my bag in the airport. all my documents were there. i renewed and requested some of the documents since i only got few weeks. So wht else do we need to pass to Ahpra after BP?

hi Janelly... I am for IHNA July intake at Perth...have u lodge ur visa already?...hope to hear from u soon...

Item #33 of form 157A (Application for Student Visa) asks about the intended date of departure from Australia after completing the course. On page 4 of the same document, it says that the maximum length of student visa for the bridging program is up to one month longer than the duration of the course.

To increase the chances of having the visa application processed more quickly, what is the recommended answer for the Date of Departure item?

A. A few days after the end of the course; or

B. About one month after the end of the course?

The advantage of Choice B is that it can give the student ample time to process the registration with NMBA. [Please take note that I have no intention of staying in Australia (or any other country) illegally.]

Hi joji! no, i hav not even started the online course yet. I just got my offer letter, I think someone backed out from the July intake so they just gave the slot to me the other day. I am still considering the things for visa, I am currently seeking consultations on that. I am also hunting for a good flat with which i can share it with. do hav accommodations already?

The course completion certificate will be submitted directly to AHPRA by ETEA, i addition, you have to submit your 100 points of identification either by post or personally at any AHPRA office. 100 points of identification can be found at AHPRA's website.
