  1. Hi PogzRn, Yes, do ANMAC asap as it is the only thing that takes a LONG long time. Applying state sponsorship for you in NSW is the way to go if you do want you P.R. Status asap. BUT as it is, NSW has alot of people applying for that so hopefully, once they open, you can lodge your papers asap for 190 visa. 189 visa would require 3 years work experience overseas or 1 year work experience in Au. I myself am short of 2 months for the 3 years abroad experience and will be applying for state sponsorship in W.A. soon. In my opinion, state sponsorship criteria for NSW and Victoria is the easiest there is as compared to W.A. So check those out. ;-) Gather your documents and prepare answering EOI. Once ANMAC releases your letter, you can submit your EOI and wait for the invitation. As experienced by my friend who also lodged 190 visa December 2013, it takes quite awhile for NSW since ALOT of people wants to live there. God bless;-)
  2. Hi Chelseaxyrene, I lodged my ANMAC last year December 5. I received an email from them last week asking for additional documents. They have advised me yesterday they will be posting the letter and I would receive it within a weeks time depending where in Australia I am. Now I am thinking and re thinking and thinking what I should do next. Avail of an agent or do it all by myself. Needing someone who knows this stuff and could help me through it.
  3. Thanks Iamnomad. I do have the luxury of time to do it myself. But I don't have the luxury of a long long time to wait for it and stumble through the process...Yes, MARA agents indeed are expensive... So I am hoping someone who has done 190 visa all by themselves could share how they did it.;-) Thanks.
  4. Good day forumers. Has anyone applied for State Sponsorship Visa 190? I only have 2 years and 10 months experience and is a registered nurse already here in Australia. Sponsored jobs are truly a difficult one to catch so I have opted to fight the fight by getting into an equal footing as the others. My ANMAC Letter of determination will be arriving soon as ANMAC assessor has advised me they have posted it already. I am in a conflicting stage where I am assessing my ability to do lodge the Visa 190 all by myself or with an assistance from a MARA agent. I have limited funds but if it is better to avail of an agent for a more secure result, I would be guided accordingly. Hope someone could help me. Thank you very much.
  5. Hi. Im also from a college school, but the course curriculum proved it otherwise that it is not a TAFE/Vocational. I was only asked about my Pharmacology subject whether was it given as one subject or in between the NCM 101-105. I just needed to give them a letter from the school stating I had my pharmacology integrated within the Nursing Care Management subjects. Hope this helps.
  6. Good day Khirbz, Did you go through ANMAC for your PR application? Do you also know anybody who got state sponsorship P.R. application successfully and how to do it preferably alone? I have less than 3 years experience and while looking for work, I'm planning to start with the ANMAC process which is the first step. As of my knowledge, my only viable solution would be to apply under state sponsorship p.r. Please do correct me if I am wrong. Thank you very much!
  7. Wow. that is impressive. 2 pages only and yet you got their attention! and NSW! I keep on revising and revising and revising my answers to the selection criteria as I keep on researching and see how the others made theirs...Regarding public hospitals for NSW...how many months was the shortest and the longest before they called back? Thank you so much for your infos. I have a friend who has 6 years of O.R. experience....and it has been 2 months with no call backs. So we're following your advice regarding rechecking of CV and cover letter. Hoping we would see some changes...
  8. Hi teyang. Hope you are still checking this forum out. Have sent you PM. Hoping your able to reply.;-)
  9. thanks so much PogzRn!
  10. Not that my Bridging Program was the cheapest, but try looking up Lonsdale Institute or Alpine Health. They are a combined institute. or email [email protected]; I think they have a January batch. Don't know if they still have slots though.
  11. Congratulations PogzRn! It is indeed an encouragement to hear good news for other people. May I ask if you could share your timeline and tips for job hunting and expectations? I have revised and revised and revised my CV thinking if that is the problem. I got my registration last september and am still looking for a job. Although my area of specialty which is hemodialysis isn't that in demand..... I still cling to prayers and hope that one of my applications would still succeed. So far at present...I have only 4 dialysis applications that I am able to apply since there were no signage " No sponsorsorship offered". Trying to apply everywhere also but at times, I would get " not relevant experience". Hope could shed some light. Thanks!
  12. hi iamnomad, just curious, in the event i find a job in australia. and i have less than 3 years experience..i would apply for state sponsorship rather than wait on the 1 year australian experience....do you have to stay in that state for exactly 2 years or would you be permitted to have a vacation after 1 year of work?
  13. Thanks JoannaPaulaBandala. So far, none found. But as in every application, whether English speaking countries, MiddleEast or Philippines, we just need to persevere. When it will rain, it will pour.;-)
  14. Yeap JopaiRn. finished with Lonsdale/alpine health. can you elaborate on your question on "How was it"? which part would you like to ask? Theoretical? Clinical? Accomodation? Just so I can directly answer your concerns.;-) When is your intake?
