Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand
Hi PogzRn, Yes, do ANMAC asap as it is the only thing that takes a LONG long time. Applying state sponsorship for you in NSW is the way to go if you do want you P.R. Status asap. BUT as it is, NSW has alot of people applying for that so hopefully, once they open, you can lodge your papers asap for 190 visa. 189 visa would require 3 years work experience overseas or 1 year work experience in Au. I myself am short of 2 months for the 3 years abroad experience and will be applying for state sponsorship in W.A. soon. In my opinion, state sponsorship criteria for NSW and Victoria is the easiest there is as compared to W.A. So check those out. ;-) Gather your documents and prepare answering EOI. Once ANMAC releases your letter, you can submit your EOI and wait for the invitation. As experienced by my friend who also lodged 190 visa December 2013, it takes quite awhile for NSW since ALOT of people wants to live there. God bless;-)

Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand
Hi Chelseaxyrene, I lodged my ANMAC last year December 5. I received an email from them last week asking for additional documents. They have advised me yesterday they will be posting the letter and I would receive it within a weeks time depending where in Australia I am. Now I am thinking and re thinking and thinking what I should do next. Avail of an agent or do it all by myself. Needing someone who knows this stuff and could help me through it.

Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand
Thanks Iamnomad. I do have the luxury of time to do it myself. But I don't have the luxury of a long long time to wait for it and stumble through the process...Yes, MARA agents indeed are expensive... So I am hoping someone who has done 190 visa all by themselves could share how they did it.;-) Thanks.

Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand
Good day forumers. Has anyone applied for State Sponsorship Visa 190? I only have 2 years and 10 months experience and is a registered nurse already here in Australia. Sponsored jobs are truly a difficult one to catch so I have opted to fight the fight by getting into an equal footing as the others. My ANMAC Letter of determination will be arriving soon as ANMAC assessor has advised me they have posted it already. I am in a conflicting stage where I am assessing my ability to do lodge the Visa 190 all by myself or with an assistance from a MARA agent. I have limited funds but if it is better to avail of an agent for a more secure result, I would be guided accordingly. Hope someone could help me. Thank you very much.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hi. Im also from a college school, but the course curriculum proved it otherwise that it is not a TAFE/Vocational. I was only asked about my Pharmacology subject whether was it given as one subject or in between the NCM 101-105. I just needed to give them a letter from the school stating I had my pharmacology integrated within the Nursing Care Management subjects. Hope this helps.

Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand
Good day Khirbz, Did you go through ANMAC for your PR application? Do you also know anybody who got state sponsorship P.R. application successfully and how to do it preferably alone? I have less than 3 years experience and while looking for work, I'm planning to start with the ANMAC process which is the first step. As of my knowledge, my only viable solution would be to apply under state sponsorship p.r. Please do correct me if I am wrong. Thank you very much!

Bridging Program in Australia
Wow. that is impressive. 2 pages only and yet you got their attention! and NSW! I keep on revising and revising and revising my answers to the selection criteria as I keep on researching and see how the others made theirs...Regarding public hospitals for NSW...how many months was the shortest and the longest before they called back? Thank you so much for your infos. I have a friend who has 6 years of O.R. experience....and it has been 2 months with no call backs. So we're following your advice regarding rechecking of CV and cover letter. Hoping we would see some changes...

Bridging Program in Australia
Not that my Bridging Program was the cheapest, but try looking up Lonsdale Institute or Alpine Health. They are a combined institute. or email [email protected]; I think they have a January batch. Don't know if they still have slots though.

Bridging Program in Australia
Congratulations PogzRn! It is indeed an encouragement to hear good news for other people. May I ask if you could share your timeline and tips for job hunting and expectations? I have revised and revised and revised my CV thinking if that is the problem. I got my registration last september and am still looking for a job. Although my area of specialty which is hemodialysis isn't that in demand..... I still cling to prayers and hope that one of my applications would still succeed. So far at present...I have only 4 dialysis applications that I am able to apply since there were no signage " No sponsorsorship offered". Trying to apply everywhere also but at times, I would get " not relevant experience". Hope could shed some light. Thanks!

Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand
hi iamnomad, just curious, in the event i find a job in australia. and i have less than 3 years experience..i would apply for state sponsorship rather than wait on the 1 year australian experience....do you have to stay in that state for exactly 2 years or would you be permitted to have a vacation after 1 year of work?

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hi JoannaPauLaBandaLa, Bridging program with lonsdale vic is quite good. it is literally hassle free since you have also paid for your accomodation and you just need to concentrate on the program itself and learn what you can. it is literally 12 weeks. bo early exit. if im to describe their program, it is literally a progressive type of learning structure wherein they teach you what you don't get unti you learn it. They won't give up on you and fail you immediately once you don't pass an assignment. They will give all their support to you until you successfully get the standard. So just perform well and do your best. what else exactly do you want to find out? BP is just basically the Duty we have done during our nursing course. Lonsdale has their placements on rural areas because they have practically understood that foreigners are needed in rural areas. And they also have chosen that exact same placements for the fact that rural people are much more friendlier and welcoming as opposed to city people. Softens the impact of cultural difference. PM me if you need more info. As usual, just double, triple check if your planning to continue with this path especially is your going to borrow money from loaning agencys. Job market is pretty pretty tight. Even if you have 7 years experience in O.R. or whatever kind of experience you have, it is still hard to find a job. I believe its all supernatural. Meaning, its all in God's time.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
It took 5 working days for me and my 2 classmates. 1 of my classmate has her AHPRA registration at Queensland. For me and my classmate it was At Victoria. We studied at Lonsdale Victoria. All i can say, registration outcomes depends on your case officer. I thought my officer was pretty strict and I predicted that I would get my registration after 2 weeks...but that wasn't the case at the end. One suggestion also is to have CONSTANT communication with your officer. it is important when you recieve your eligibility letter and to let your officer KNOW that you will take Bridging Program. Inform the officer which school you will attend. Inform the officer when you arrive in AUstralia. Inform your officer the day you started your BP. Inform your officer that you are about to finish BP and the documents you have gathered for the proof of identity points. Inform your officer that you have finished BP. Inform your officer that you will submit your proof of identity requirements. Hopefully, with this constant update with your officer, it might get faster. But I doubt it coz everyone has different outcomes.

Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Clinical part is totally like in how we did clinical duty in our nursing course. We get buddied for the day whoever RN is on shift. It also totally depends which hospital you were assigned to. They have a standard placements of 4 weeks in Aged care and 5 weeks in acute care. Mostly the places are rural so action is less but nevertheless you would learn alot. You will get to know the different drug names and procedures and standards but it is mostly the same. And in Australia, depending on the hospital they also do venepuncture like in middleeast. If you want more details, ask me anything. There's 3 weeks theoretical to prepare you of the real deal so don't worry about that. They will orient you of the papers and the most common differences that foreigners find in the nursing practice for Australia. That is one of the good things Lonsdale is good at, you get a softened blow into the uncharted territories and they really take care of you.

I forgot what else I posted when I got my visa. Yes, Lonsdale/Alpine Health can only get visitor visa subclass 600 and i would rather think its better to get that.
