  1. hi. it depends on the university. i was informed about it by my classmate just days before my flight. luckily, the uni representative responded quickly to my email and i didn't have to pay for the service.
  2. it actually depends. my results were forwarded to Global Health Unit in Sydney just a few days after I had my medical exam.
  3. the university provided a free transportation service from the airport to the accommodation/house. alternatively, you can take the bus from the airport to the train station. not sure how a cab ride costs.
  4. hi, chelseaxyrene. i'm just curious: was the vaccine administered to you here in australia covered by your health insurance? thank you
  5. hello. what do you mean by this "I received mine aft5 hours after missing virology and IELTS have been provided"?

  7. -- if school is CRICOS-registered, Student Visa Subclass 575 (non-award sector); otherwise, Visitor Visa Subclass 600 (business stream). CRICOS-registered schools usually indicate their CRICOS code on their websites or forms. You may also refer to the official CRICOS website for verification.
  8. good news. right. they really should look at the commencement of intakes.
  9. You may refer to this: Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) Related link: AHPRA/NMBA-Approved Programs of Study
  10. i hope so. kindly tell us whether they'd respond to you or not. thanks. i wish there's a way to check the status online, though; even for those who didn't lodge the application online. maybe in the future.
  11. For how long is this coverage? I'll send you a PM.
  12. There are other OSHC providers. Here: http://www.studyinaustralia.gov.au/en/Study-Costs/OSHC/Overseas-student-health-cover The university has an arrangement with BUPA Australia and this is why OSHC fee was included on top of the tuition fee; it is indicated on the Confirmation of Enrolment. IMHO, while it is convenient for us that the university takes care of this process, the advantage for you is that you have control of which package you're going to take. Perhaps it's gonna be cheaper that way? Let's wait for the feedback of other members. Meanwhile, there was a post somewhere here of a student who is currently taking his BP at IHNA who also availed of BUPA's health insurance.
  13. There are slight differences in the vaccination requirements among schools offering bridging programs. Some require more than one serological evidence. What are the appropriate serological tests for the following: A. MMR -- IgG or IgM; and B. Varicella -- IgG or IgM? I've already contacted Deakin and I'm currently awaiting their response but I'm curious to know if anyone here has an idea on the specific serologies that need to be taken. Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks.
