MY VISA TIMELINE March 16 - lodged my Subclass 456 application at VIA March 23 - received a notice through email for medical exam March 26 - complied with the medical exam requirements May 9 - health clearance from Global Health in Australia was received by the embassy (took a while though due to health declaration) May 14 - received my visa grant - left for Melbourne, Australia May 15 - arrived in Melbourne, Australia safe and sound *** It did take long for my visa to arrive but i am still grateful despite the delay. I learned a lot of values from this experience. My advice to everybody is to call DIAC from time to time to follow up your application (Call hours: 2pm - 4pm Mondays to Thursdays only). DIAC is the one assessing the documents and giving the Visa Grant. VIA is the center that forwards your application to DIAC as well as the one that sends out Visa Grants from DIAC to respective applicants. Hi everybody, I would like to ask how long does it take for AHPRA WA to release LOEs after all documents were received? By the way, what AHPRA office process the fastest? I am supposed to start my bridging course on Monday, however, I haven't been issued a visa until now after 2 months of waiting. I will be moved to August intake in my school but my class in that intake will end 4 days after my LOE (extended LOE) expires. What is the process of reapplication? Is there a difference in processing times for AHPRA Reapplication and first time AHPRA application?

hi there annie, i have been calling the embassy since last week. it was only last thursday that a request for urgent processing was sent by the embassy. my school is already aware of my situation and i was given only until wednesday to inform them if a visa is issued or not. if i will be moved to the next intake, my letter of eligibility will not reach the closing date. i will be lacking 4 days. my LOE has been extended already and AHPRA WA only gives one time extension. i am not sure if my AHPRA case officer will consider a 4-day extension..

Hi there annie, My results were forwarded to GHA last April 5. I have been waiting for more than a month already. My class will start on Monday May 13 yet I still don't have a visa until now because the embassy needs the medical clearance from GHA for them to finalize a decision.

Hi there, Has anyone there tried calling Global Health in Australia to follow up the assessment of medical results? Are the visa applicants allowed to call Global Health? Or is it only the embassy that can access them?

Hi molly_molly you should follow up the embassy..if you have health issues e.g. previous illness, surgery, it will take a longer for your clearance to be released. but if none, then i think you'll have your visa released according to the embassy's processing time frame.

Hi enilocin, May I ask when did you receive the message from Air21 and the embassy? Is it today? I'm trying to make a time frame because we are just a day apart from lodging the visa and doing the medical exam. I hope I'd get a message from Air21 and the embassy on Thursday.

Hi everybody, I just called DIAC awhile ago to follow up my visa application. Since my intake will commence really soon (May 13), I was told that a request by my medical officer was sent to Global Health that my case is urgent. Furthermore, the DIAC officer told me that Global Health is already assessing medical results sent on late February to March 26. So for those who are waiting for their visas to be released, let us all be patient and be optimistic. Prayers can move mountains. He will never leave us..

Hi there enilocin, Did you apply for a 456 visa also? I lodged my visa last March 16 and did my medical exams last March 26. My intake is on May 13 and I still don't have a visa right now. As what the embassy told me in their last email, my medical exams were forwarded to Global Health in Australia. Based on what I read on some threads, Global Health has 4 months backlog. They are still assessing December files. It's even more frustrating on my part because I now feel like I cannot attend the entire duration of my course if indeed, that 4 months backlog is true.
