Official Statement Regarding Passing of Brian Short, Founder of allnurses.com, September 12, 2015
We are deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Brian Short, founder of allnurses.com. We respectfully request that you grant the company's employees, friends, families and associates privacy during this difficult time. allnurses will continue to support nursing professionals by providing an unparalleled peer-to-peer online community where they can share experiences and learn from and support one another.

The admin and the rest of the staff is working through this horrible news and attempting to keep all the posts together. There have been some technical glitches, please bear with the staff, as you can imagine, everyone is personally and professionally affected.

Thanks to the mods and admin folks who are working hard in a tough situation.
I mentioned prior to this that we should all be careful about jumping to conclusions in the beginning of a news story like this as details change frequently from the first hour or so.
Regardless of what happened, it is a terrible tragedy. My prayers go out to the family/friends of Brian, his wife, and kids.
