You already posted this and I quoted it - I'm sure your message got out.
I've done a wider search and no news outlet is reporting this except the newspaper. The police haven't reported it. Only unnamed sources talked to the newspaper.
Obviously if he did kill his family, we all will accept that. But why not wait for real credible information? How often has a newspaper been wrong trying to jump ahead and be first to report something?
We are hanging onto hope. Maybe you could wait a bit to rub something in . . .
Hello, I just created an account to say a few things. 1st off, my heart goes out to the remaining family and all their friends.
2nd off, This whole issue makes no sense and I'm very upset to see what the star tribune is saying, since they contradict themselves in the very same story by saying the police still haven't released the ages or manner of death. Yet their sources are claiming they know the whole deal.
3rd, Brian seemed like a level headed guy, he taught himself web development, that takes intelligence and will. He created this site in the 90s and it's turned into one awesome network. Their friends and co-workers all speak good things about them and they didn't have money troubles, so why would he want to end things?
It just doesn't make sense and I hope you the members of this site don't just take a website's word and really either look into the matter or be open minded till all facts are heard.
Thank you
Then please leave this thread. There are many people here who knew Brian personally and are devastated. Your insensitive and highly arrogant remarks are incredibly hurtful to his friends and family.
It doesn't matter that he may be the agent, he is still gone and people have the right to grieve.
Right...I get that there are no other sources but the Strib, but because they are so connected they often get the confirmation first.
Yeah well, my local newspaper frequently runs with a story before facts are truly known and then have to back track.
As a ER nurse, I saw that all that time. I had the victim in the ER . . . . the newspapers were wrong about their reporting.

This is unbelievably sad news. I read it first last night when I was tired and woke up this morning thinking about the poor Short family and hoping my brain processed things incorrectly. It was shocking all over again to read it this morning. I just can't comprehend what their family and friends must be going through right now. A huge loss for all who knew them and the nursing community at large.
