I was just wondering how you feel about this subject. Do you have them? Would you get them? Have you cared for patients with them and what was your experience? Have you seen any good or bad outcomes?
I am a 34 barely A and very comfortable with my body and happy with my "flat chest." I have two older sisters and both of them have implants. I've seen them both (with their shirts off) and that was enough to convince me to never get mine done. I have yet to see a pair of fake breasts that look anything close to real. I don't judge people that get implants but I think that it's creating even more unrealistic expectations for women to live up to. Apparently it's considered natural to be 105 lbs. and have 34D's. And if you are flat chested then men assume that you want to be bigger because "bigger is better." How would men feel if there was a way to enlarge their "you know what" and every time they were with a woman she asked "don't you want to get that fixed?" Just my 2 cents :)
the thing is i dont think that guys as a whole are wanting women to get there boobs enlarged. we seem to get the blame for this but women need to take a look in the mirror and they'll find the real culprit
Well, any of you ladies out there who knows of a doc that has a two-for-one special breat reduction/augmentation can have all the extra I have. I wear a DD and my back hurts, my posture sucks and I am constantly dropping food on my chest. I am getting along in age now and of course they aren't as perky as they used to be so not only do I have the pain, but I have to I have the joy of feeling as if I am suffocating every night when I lay on my back. I can't go out without a bra even if it's just to the corner store. It's all a PITA and I, for one, would have made the female form without them if I had been consulted.
Sometimes I wish those of us who are small would pause and take note that when we are older we will still be perky and not be drooping. I look at my 63 year old mother, she's small like me. Not a bit of droop, no shoulder or back trouble. I'm sure some larger, older women would trade places in an instant.
The more i read this thread, the more the word "boobs" annoys me. It reminds me of high school. They're breasts.Unless we want to start calling memberes "wangs" or any other slang terminology in a thread about memberes. I'm all for equality.
For memberes, I prefer the term "Tallywhacker"

I agree with you 100%. I think there is nothing wrong with women who get breast implants or even other cosmetic procedures. Just like a man with a large member size is does not necessarily equate to inreased gratification. I honestly don't like the feel of fake breasts but they usually look very nice. I'm more of a butt guy. Boobs, albeit bigger ones, are not going to make women more self confident if they aren't already secure enough in themselves. Besides a woman with small boobs and a great body i..e one who's in shape is much more attractive than a woman who is out of shape but yet had big boobs. The problem nowadays is too many women are "out of shape." Too many men are too!!!! It's disgusting, especially among the healthcare field and nursing in particular. Look at all the fat women in my classes. And they are gonna be a patient advocate for health, nutrition, and the prevention of disease? LMAO! I work very hard for the body that I have because it gives me confidence in all aspects.....the confidence to know that I'm physicall healthy and better able to ward off disease, I look good so I feel good.....I'm in shape so my metabolism.....Cardio system etc. is much healthier. Also I eat right. It takes discipline that a lot of people just don't have nowadays. After 12 hours on my feet all day, listening to bitchy patients and arrogant doctors I can't wait to go home and hit the gym or the pavement!!!!!!
The compassion and understanding for those with different situations than your own is simply underwhelming.
I have a lot of compassion. But where my compassion ends is where self pity and laziness begins. Just because I'm a nurse doesn't mean I have to accept everything and everyone! I'm sorry but a majority of the women in my nursing classes are fat and overweight and they don't have some preexisting medical condition nor any mitigating circumstances or no more of a chaotic life than anyone else that prevents them from exercising. Kids and a family are no excuse. I witness what some of my "fellow" nursing students eat on a daily basis.
