Hey msunknown I am also a new LPN graduate (with no prior health career background) so I'm really appreciating you for asking this question. I also appreciate those that respond. I actually went to Monti. in the Bx to drop of my resume (in a drop box). One concern though is do the HR department really get these resumes or is there another way to go about applying ? (I have no friends or family that work there, bummer).
I you get a job please let me know where and I'll reciprocate.
Hit up every nursing home in the city, try white glove agency (agencies) Man I was so where you are now, huh, It was a dark journey but at the end of the tunnel was light!! Good luck, please dont give up and please keep us posted!
Hey Kuyah12, gt4everpn is actually right i fill out an application for
white glove online and they constantly calls me but i dont have my
physical ready and i not sure if i want to do per diem/temp work as a
new grad. -Kuyah i also do not know anyone who works in a hospital
nor who can point me in the right direction this website is very helpful.
Usually i would email or fax my resume in but i didnt receive any
response so starting today i was going to all my local hospital and ask
if they are hiring. then starting monday I am going to all the
nursing homes. Kuyah12 i'm not sure where you from but I'm from
queens and if i find anything in queens or brooklyn i would definitely let you know and you can also do the same -maybe we will become co-workers:lol2:
