Curious to know if any of you work with men who have excessive chest hair and it sticks out of their scrubs...

I do and I just cringe! This guy could make a carpet out of his chest I think. Is it wrong for me to think that he should wear a t-shirt underneath his scrubs to cover that up? I'm not the only person at work who feels this way.

Any input is appreciated...

I don't mind a hairy chest or even a little back hair, but when the hair is excessive that gives me the skeevies. I saw a guy once that had a big tuft of hair that stuck up beyond his shirt collar in the back. That was gross.

no comments from the guys about hairy women I notice..............

personally- its smell- you can be hairy but please smell nice!!! got enough problems coping with patients smelling bad without the nurses as well!!

The guys at work wear a plain white tshirt under their scrub top, but there is still a little "spillage" at the top on a couple of them. Couldn't help noticing that. :D

There's one orderly who obviously has the back hair problem, because it's kinda creeping up his neck. You can't quite tell where his hairline ends, and the back hair begins.

I'd never say anything to him about it though, for one it's not my place/business, and then again they are probably self-conscious enough as it is in the first place.

ill probably do that if thats cool.

How about women's excess hair?

I'll never forget this one nurse who took care of me the last time I was in the hospital for a shattered left elbow repair. Not because she was nice, but because she had the darkest moustache I've evah seen on a woman. OOOOOOOeeeeeeee, shave that sucka clean mam, or get some Nair or something. That was just disgusting to me! :p

Work with a woman at my first job that was growing her own facial pushbroom herself. I mean COorifice dark hair.

In the summer of 1995 i went to the local pool, and saw a woman who had CHEST HAIR hair. Not dark chest fuzz, i mean it was dark curly chest hair. Wearing a bikini. It's a personal decision, but i'd use Nair on it if it were me, or at least a razor. Went to a clinic to get my usual poison ivy relief round of pills, cream, and the shot, and this woman was the RN. You could see the hair coming out of the V-neck top of her shirt.

Another lady i saw, i went to her hair salon, so here she is wearing a professional-looking sleeveless polo shirt (very hot that day) and shampooing my hair, and i get the full view of the Sasquatch armpit. :p Eeeyeew.

I'm lucky not to have encountered that with my job now. Wear deodorant and bathe is all i ask for most of all in the Hygiene Dept.:D

Just remember some European women don't shave armpits or legs....

Glad I live in the USA... Heck, I shave my legs more often than my husband shaves his face..lol

I took italian in school and my teacher NEVER shaved. Woa, it was bad.....

I always shave my armpits but only occasionally shave my legs because I always wear pants and it's a hastle to shave all the time if I don't need to. But I always smell wonderful.

I kinda like a hairy chest, it takes my mind off the rotten nite I might be having (a least for a few seconds!). :chuckle

LOL, you just described my husband (he also has an excessively hairy chest). I was pretty repulsed by back hair until I fell n love with a big fuzzy guy. But at least he smells good.

About once a week we have "hygiene" night at our house. I Bic his head & trim him up a bit with the clippers, he shaves my legs (better than I do).
