Quote
...As part of today’s announcement, the president-elect and vice president-elect named coordinators for three crucial aspects of the COVID-19 response strategy: supply chain management, vaccinations, and testing.
Tim Manning-- The Supply Coordinator will coordinate the federal effort focused on securing, strengthening, and ensuring a sustainable pandemic supply chain, working with departments and agencies to ensure there is sufficient PPE, tests, vaccines, and related supplies and equipment.
Bechara Choucair, MD --The Vaccinations Coordinator will focus on making sure vaccines turn into vaccinations by coordinating the timely, safe, and equitable delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations for the U.S. population, in close partnership with relevant federal departments and agencies, as well as state and local authorities.
Carole Johnson --The Testing Coordinator will coordinate the federal effort to expand COVID-19 testing and the use of testing for an effective public health response, with an emphasis on expanding and targeting testing for schools, nursing homes, other at-risk populations, and communities hardest hit by the pandemic. The Coordinator will chair the National Pandemic Testing Board, which will work to ensure equitable test allocation, identify bottlenecks, and overcome barriers to access....

Agree. I pretty much loathe Trump and everything about him but I can understand this.

Again, it's going to be refreshing to at least have someone with some empathy that actually cares, and will look at the science, and appoint people with some sense. I never said that he was going to save us from the worst pandemic. It's too late for that.
Fair enough. You didn't say that.
Still, I don't understand the giddiness over Biden in relationship to this. He's going to ask us to wear a mask for 100 days. Big deal. We're already doing it.
And appoint a bunch of people to do what, exactly?
He's going to look at the science, and what? Have empathy, and what will that translate to?
Many criticize Trump, but have yet to hear how anything would be different if someone else had be president.

Give me a break. Trump is an incompetent and corrupt grifter. Trump not only provides no effective leadership in this health crisis, he actively makes it worse. Trump golfed and campaigned while the pandemic consumed the nation.
How could anybody do worse than Trump?

Still not hearing how it would have been better if someone else was President.
Even your opinion article focuses on the entire US leadership at the Federal level as well as local.
You would be more credible if you hadn't spent 4 years blaming everything under the sun on Trump and while never ever acknowledging something that has been done well under his administration.

While you are defending Trump's corrupt incompetence, his angry mob has just pushed past the capital security and both chambers of Congress are in recess and lockdowns. To force congress to install Trump as president.
Trump was responsible for the entirety of the federal pandemic response. The buck stops with the chief executive.

I'm skiing and get minimal reception so this is the only site that loads. So what's going on again?

Indeed.
Congress was in joint session in debate of installing Trump as president when Trump's mob stormed and breached the building and everything was shut down. At least one person was shot.
It seems like no person in capital or state law enforcement had the foresight to plan for control of a large angry mob that had advertised would include 2nd amendment zealots. Interesting.

What has Trump's response been?
