Splurge on a new comfortable mattress - you'd be surprised how a good (or bad) night's sleep can impact your shift.

Spend some time away from work with your coworkers. Drinks after a shift, ladies night out, movie night, etc.. It gives you a chance to really know who you work with and it helps you all to really work as a team when on the unit together.

Treat the patient as if they were your own family member!
In home care, the parents really are experts in their child's care.

When changing a urostomy bag, use a tampon held against the stoma to wick the urine while prepping the skin. Makes the whole process faster and easier.
