Hi! My embassy interview is on Aug. 8 :balloons: I need to have my medical exam anytime next week. This question is for those that already had their medical exam here in the Philippines. I just would like to ask if the $95 is inclusive of the vaccine fees? I just want to know so I'll be pr

epared. thanks :)[/QUO

yes vaccines is inclusive.... 95 dolllars only

I guess that's not many cases like yours in the U.S. embassy here, so the progress is much more slower. I'm in the stage of packet 3 application. If nothing we can do to facilitate the procedure, I think you just grap this waiting period to be relaxed and finally you will get your visa.

And Chinese government doesn't have any restriction on it. It's all up to U.S embassy to controll the progress.

wish you the best

Thank you so much for your reply! It helps me a lot to relax. Chinese government doesn't care how many nurses are going abroad. I am quite sure about this!

I am here enhance my believe to our dear GOD! He at least is blessing you guys. Please pray for our Chinese nurses! May God listen to us all.

The Chinese government is the one that has to issue the exit visa, so they are involved. The US issues you a visa for admission to the

US, but China requires you to have one to exit. And that is where the hold up has always been in the past.

If they have changed, then it has been very recent.

We don't need an exit visa now in China. It is all controlled by the US consulate in Guangzhou.

Thank you for your consideration anyway! We do appreciate your reply.

Hi to all,

Had my final interview at the embassy yesterday. I was scheduled a 7 am appointment, I arrived at exactly 7 but to my surprise the immigrant section of the embassy was already full of people. I think I was the only one who came on time, all of them came early. There is a line there where someone will verify your appointment letter and will ask you to go to the cashier to pay additional $45 for the fee bill(it's now $380 previously it's $335). Then the cashier gave me a stub number this number will be called out several times these are for the verification, biometrics, and the interview with the consul. Sounds simple? By the time the interview with the consul was finished it was already 3pm. It's waiting for my number to be called that consumed most of my time.

Simple questions were asked, basically on the ds230 and the job offer. Nursing license was also requested to be shown to the consul. And if you have a proof that you already have passed nclex please bring them. Also bring hard candies, hunger sets in after long hours of waiting.

At long last, interview with the embassy is done.

thanks to this forum! thanks for the help. You're all doing a great job.

Great news. :Melody:

Hi Bodgie,

thanks,

Birth certificates from church are no longer recognised by immigration.

Following extract from http://www.murthy.com might shed some light :-

I don't have a birth certificate or I do have one but my name is not on it, is misspelled, etc.

Documentation of birth must be submitted. A birth certificate is preferred. If it is not available, the applicant may submit notarized affidavits from his/her parents. If the applicant cannot obtain affidavits from his/her parents, the applicant may submit affidavits from other relatives who are older than the applicant and were at least 10 years old at the time of his/her birth. The affidavits must include the individual's name, address, date of birth, relationship to the applicant, and how the person knows when the applicant was born. The affidavits must also include the applicant's name, date and place of birth, and the names of both of the parents. Preferably, these relatives cannot obtain any immigration benefit from the adjustment applicant. Examples are grandparents, aunts and uncles.

In general, if a birth certificate is not available, one should obtain: (a) a certificate of non-availability from the government agency that would have issued the birth certificate if one were available, and (b) two affidavits as described above. Either instead of the non-availability certificate, or in addition, the applicant can submit any other evidence of his/her date of birth, such as a school certificate, religious certificate, certificate from the hospital or midwife, etc. However, a letter from the consulate or a date of birth certificate declaration based upon passport records would not generally be acceptable. If the birth certificate was registered late, the client should provide at least one affidavit as described above.

Failure to submit proper proof of birth will generally result in the USCIS issuing a request for evidence (RFE) for the birth certificate and or the required affidavits.

Hi folks,

This is what the reply I have got from NVC via mail. I have not understood the mail properly.. Could some1 help me and tell me exactly what is the issue???

Thanks and Regards,

Nimisha

Dear Madam,

A packet containing the Immigrant Visa Processing Fee Bill has been sent to the designated agent or attorney of record. The payment due amount listed on the fee bill must be paid according to the instructions before the DS-230 form will be sent.

NVC does not have an overall processing time due to the fact that we cannot estimate how long it would take someone to accurately complete and submit the requested documentation. Once documentation is received at NVC, the processing time for all documents to be reviewed is 6-8 weeks. Further information will be sent after the review is completed.

Hi Everyone.

I have a small question here.Would appreciate if anyone who has an idea replies.

Today I recieved a packet by post from US Embassy Mumbai.

It has DS230 forms interview letter plus instructions.Isn't this called packet 4??

I thought this comes via our agent/attorney.Does this come directly??Any ideas/Experiences??

And my second question is:

My husband is based in UAE at the moment.

But he was in Oman from 94-98.Do we need to get POlice clearance from Oman??

And my attorney says he needs police clearance from India too.Is that needed?Anyone in similar state??And if I need to get Police clearance from Cochin PAssport Office will I need his original passport to apply for the same??

Any input will be appreciated.

THAnks and let light prevail..)
