on june 6 dos ammended their june visabulletin by adding a new category for nurses (schedule - a) and making it as 'current'. that means, all wait is over for nurses now and gates are re-opened officially on june 6th.

as the regular readers of allnurses.com know, this thread can be connsidered as the continuation of the thread "worst news for rns from india, phili..." Hi Dale! I counted all the EX applicants for July 2005 interview in Manila, and the total is 1,091 applicants including their dependents and spouse. This is a big number huh! I am worried that the 50thousand visa will be over in just few months just for the Filipino applicants. To tell you all, my case number was not there, my PD is 2004 august :angryfire

1,091 is a very small number speaking of clearing the pending backlogs that was delayed by retrogression. Let me remind you the Philippines is still the largest eater of schedule A/EX visas. It speaks of almost 9 months of applicants that were delayed by retrogression here. All the backlogs or until those who filed/ have PD around december 2004 will surely have the share of the visas. There are a very few 2005 cases that i saw. what is ur case number by the way? MNL200?

I think yes you will be scheduled for interview next month, even the 50k is available worldwide there are not too many nurses worldwide buying for USA. I made a study on CGFNS passers, NCLEX passers (including data from english exams) and visa screen holders data from 2003, 2004 and 2005 to present were gathered...Philippines holds the record! The data shows that the demand WORLDWIDE is not greater than 50k(considering family members and spouse) . The 50k would be good until July 1, 2006...that is the safest estimate though based on my analysis and assumption...but this 50k are definitely to clear all pending backlogs for all schedule A applicants holding pd's until December 31, 2004. By September 30, 2005 all applicants pending or not who are going for CP from the PIC countries will be cleared...That is the target of the NVC...Simply because on October 1, 2005>>>EB3 will be open again and resources would be redistributred again...

I was scheduled for a preliminary interview on July 11 but my case number is not on the list. I noticed that interview for EX visas were scheduled in the morning usually 6 & 8am. I was scheduled at 1pm. Is this a bad thing for me?
I hate to be the "English" police here, but I can't even understand what you have posted above, and I am an American. Please use proper sentences so that all can understand what you are writing. it was feared that nurses would be consuming an average of 3 gc s per nurses but for phillipines they seem to be consuming only 1200 for 900 nurses so the ratio works out to 1.3 so the visas will last very long thanks for criticism i hope things are now clear kid 80
