update 1:

on june 6 dos ammended their june visabulletin by adding a new category for nurses (schedule - a) and making it as 'current'. that means, all wait is over for nurses now and gates are re-opened officially on june 6th.

as the regular readers of allnurses.com know, this thread can be connsidered as the continuation of the thread "worst news for rns from india, phili..." (click here to view that thread : https://allnurses.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87149). worst news thread was started when darkness and gloom hit intl. nurse community when dos announced (dec 11 2004) the retrogression for nurse immigration from these 3 countries.

appropriations bill in to a law :biggringiand henceforth , at

this very moment (may 11 2005 8:30 pm cst), additional 50,000 visas are available:melody:

She is scheduled for interview in Manila US Embassy.

my pd is oct 9 2003, my papers are in US embassy, in London, but i havent heard anything at all, i think US embassy Philippines is working faster, but i dont know, i havent read any post from UK people in this thread.

Most UK nurses are posting under other threads as this doesn't apply to many of them.

COUNTRY OF BIRTH IS NOT AN ISSUE NOW. Since the EB3 is UNAVAILABLE WORLDWIDE. It does not matter where you are born...because all EB3 are unavailable...Its only Schedule A...and it does not matter where you are born too...50k is all they got...First come, first serve! Enjoy your visas while it lasts!!!

It isn't that it is not applicable, but most in the UK that are applying for the US are not from the PIC countries.

Hi the UK nurses tend to post in the UK forum because a lot of what is written on here is just not applicable and there are far fewer UK nurses than there seems to be from other countries. Also a few of the UK nurses were getting a bit fed up with being shouted down so whilst I read stuff on the International forum I rarely post. :)
