Hello!
Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

I do believe this is true because that is why they recommend you apply early in case your missing something so you can get it into them before the deadline.
That makes sense. ? Thanks!

Does anyone know when the acceptance notifications? Is it weeks after March 15? ?
From reading past forums, it looks like you will be notified if you are shortlisted by end of March and then find out if you are accepted by end of April.
Oh man, it's the night before applications open and I JUST found out about this thread LOL.
I'm a little nervous about my application. The transcripts I'm submitting are like 10+ years old, but I checked with an advisor at the start of this journey and they said it was OK. I'm probably just trying to get by with whatever credits I have, which is probably to my disadvantage??? I've been working in healthcare throughout these past 10 years but I was told that more hands-on experience is preferred. I am so tempted to submit cards from regular patients from a past clinic I worked at ?
Good luck to everyone applying!

If you feel comfortable sharing, what are you two applying with grades/ health care experience wise? What have you worked in health care as?
Also what time do applications open?? Never saw it on the BCIT website so I assumed it was 12am but it still has not opened.

BHSC, PSYC, ENGL all pretty good but not the best. Had to upgrade MATH and CHEM and surprisingly got A's (since I bombed those back in high school LOL). I also did some time at Langara and VCC so I have credits for HIST, BCAP, and whatever else they want to accept.
I was previously a MOA for a specialist for about 7 years, and I've been working as a casual float clerk for VCH for the past 2. Both of them aren't exactly direct patient care, but I've really connected with a lot of our regulars while at the specialist office. I tried to highlight that in my application.
I'm probably most anxious about going back to school in my 30s. I'm going to give it a shot anyway!
I thought applications would open by 0830 but nope LOL.
