BCIT Nursing Application January 2022

Published

Hi everyone- I thought I would make this post for students applying in January 2022. Please post any information that may be comfortable. Also feel free to share the number of credits you have, grades and GPA, etc. We’re all in this together!

Has anybody’s status been updated as of now?

Hi! I applied to the September intake but I didn’t get in. Generally they sent out acceptances or non-offers between 4-5pm from what I remember

If you don’t mind me asking, what are you applying with?

I applied with a Bachelor of Science degree with 134 credits. My GPA is in the low 3s though because I had a bad year. When I applied for September I was in my last semester of classes. I think Casper result and lack of healthcare work experience at that time are the main reasons I didn’t get accepted. Unfortunately I couldn’t redo the Casper for this intake but if I don’t get in, I’ll definitely be doing it again to improve my application.

Oh makes sense. Well, I hope you’re able to get in for this intake!

Personally, I’m only applying with just under 50 credits so fingers crossed that I can get in.

Hey guys,

Do you know how many people applied for the January intake? I feel like it's more competitive compared to the Fall intake. Do you think it's because UBC applications aren't open yet and people are crowding to BCIT?

300 applicants 64 spot

Spots were taken from being carried over from the wait listed people in the September intake. This makes it less than 64, no?

Any status updates?

Yeah probably 54 since they give 10 to waitlists

Hi everyone,

I also applied for the January 2022 intake.

My status is still pending.

Could anyone please let me know what my chances are for this intake?

I am applying with 53 credits only. GPA is above average and Casper is average or maybe even below average.

Experience: paid part-time healthcare experience (working with children) - around 2 months at the time of the application.

-various extensive volunteer work

-a bit of customer service experience (ie. sales associate)

Chemistry 11 - 94%

Pre-Calc 11 - 95%

Anatomy (A)

English (B-)

Psych (A+)

2 general education courses (both A+)

I would appreciate your insight!

Thanks in advance.
