BCIT Nursing Application January 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone- I thought I would make this post for students applying in January 2022. Please post any information that may be comfortable. Also feel free to share the number of credits you have, grades and GPA, etc. We’re all in this together!

Hi skm17!

I'm planning on applying for the Jan 2022 intake!

Currently finishing up A&P2 and am upgrading my grade 11 math, but then I'm ready!

How about you? Where are you in the pre-req journey?

Here we go!! What a ride.

Hey there,

I'm also planning on applying for the January 2022 intake.

I just finished BHSC 1200 and now looking into booking my CASPer test.

Have you booked your CASPer test yet? Which admission cycle and date did you choose?

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey there!

I'm planning to apply for April/Semester 2022 intake. I'm taking BHSC 1200 and PHSC this semester. What GPA are you guys applying with?

Hello everybody! I wish you all good luck, The Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) says that in January, the total number of nursing applications submitted reached 22,533. That’s a 17.5 percent increase over the year before. I want to share a great site https://essaywriteronline.co that has a free essay writing service. I think we all need this

Hi guys! I am considering applying for the January 2022 intake and if not then September 2022 intake, I will be applying with a completed Bachelors of Science majoring in Health Sciences from SFU with a CGPA of 3.89 and two years of work experience in long term care as a recreation therapy assistant and personal support worker, and 2 years volunteering in acute care in the hospital plus other volunteer hours in non-healthcare field. I am currently completing the A&P requirements as my BSC didn't transfer those courses to BCIT and will be taking my CASPer test soon as well.

Good luck to everyone! So anxious to see what happens as I have no idea where I rank in terms of experience

Hey, I am trying to book my CASPer test right now and it says the only date is August 3rd for BCIT nursing, I am a bit concerned as we need our CASPer test completed before the application deadline. What did you book?

I checked their website and I think they've updated it and it doesn't indicate anymore that CASPer to be done before the application deadline, so I think we will be fine!

Yeah, it seems like they removed the statement on their website stating that you must complete the CASPer test before the application deadline.

I emailed the CASPer support team and they stated that for the January 2022 intake, you would select the 2020/2021 admission cycle.

I also emailed BCIT advising and they confirmed that you can submit the test after the deadline and that August 3, 2021 is the last day to take the test.

Hope this helps.

Best of luck!

Hi everyone, I am also applying to the January 2022 intake. I have over a year of experience working as a Medical Office Assistant, 3 years of experience of being a Figure Skating Coach, 2 years of customer service working as a hostess in a restaurant, and volunteer work at a physiotherapy clinic and paediatric clinic. I am applying with:

80 = Math

86 = Chem

B+/A = A&P 1 & 2

B = Psych

A- = English

A+/A- = Electives

Hi everyone!

I will be applying with a 3.4 cGPA with these grades as pre-reqs:

Precalc 12: 83

Chem 12: 84, if they take my college Chem 12 equivalent: 90

English: B+

Psych: A-

A&P: A, A+

Electives: A+, A+

I have over 7 years of experience in the customer service industry— from working as a cashier and retail sales associate, telecom associate and a recreation services attendant for the city. I have 1 year of healthcare experience working as a rehabilitation aide at the hospital and have volunteered as a restorative care volunteer at a long-term care home as well as a big buddy leader at a community centre that works primarily with children.

Wow! Everyone on here seems so qualified! Hopefully we all get in.

I'm applying with a cGPA of 3.35. I see folks are including their marks for the pre-reqs -- are they more heavily weighted, or do they just look at cGPA?

I'm almost done my BA, but probably won't finish before the January nursing intake.

I have a bit more than 10 years experience nannying, 15 years in customer service (the last 5 of which was serving/bartending), 7ish years working as a doula in and out of hospitals, and most recently I'm my moms caregiver while she's battling cancer.

I'm ridiculously excited about the possibility of getting into the nursing program -- I can hardly contain myself!

Anyone applying elsewhere? I've applied to Langara, but thats it so far.

Good luck to you all!
