BCIT Nursing Application January 2022

Published

Hi everyone- I thought I would make this post for students applying in January 2022. Please post any information that may be comfortable. Also feel free to share the number of credits you have, grades and GPA, etc. We’re all in this together!

LOL ? the waiting time ???

I kinda recommend if you haven’t done the BLS-CPR (HCP) and Mask fit to do that now. Classes will probably fill up quick once results come out, and we don’t have much time till January.

Specializes in Nursing Intended.

Does anyone know if pre-reqs include non-undergraduate courses? (I.e. the math and Chemistry courses?)

Where can you get this done? St. John's Ambulance? There are so many courses listed. I might have to email BCIT about this. LOL

Hey guys! Did mine already and you can just go to the Red Cross website to look up the BLS course!!

Just pick any from the Red Cross website that includes mask fit. I did mine at Foundations First Aid, they were very nice, and I learned a lot.

Hey guys! I'm currently in the nursing program, term 5 @ BCIT. If anyone is looking to gain more experience in the health care field I have a job opening at my work! (BCIT loves to look at relevant health care experience!)

JOB OPPORTUNITY - Unlicensed Care Worker

- The job is in North Vancouver, 5 minutes from Lion's Gate Hospital.

- The starting pay is $20/h and there are merit increases.

- The shifts are 6:30-15:00 or 15:00-23:00 everyday. Shifts will be available ASAP and training shifts ASAP.

- No experience required!! The employer is specifically looking for (prospective) nursing students and will work with you to fit your schedule. It is excellent experience in applying for nursing school or maintaining your nursing skills.

- You'll be working with a male client in his 30s who has cerebral palsy doing total care (ADLs, medication administration, and companionship) in the client's home.

- The bulk of the shift is companionship. It is a chill, fun, and rewarding job - the client is sociable, fun, and kind. You have a lot of flexibility in what you choose to do together. The client enjoys watching TV, going for walks or drives, going to the movies, etc.

Please email me @ [email protected] with your resume.

Also please feel free to email me for more details! ?  I would give my number but considering this is a very open website I don't feel comfortable doing so.

Also I promise this isn't a fake ad or anything. Just wanting to provide an opportunity for those who want their nursing application to look 100% (;

Hey guys! My friend just received a non-offer and was wondering if she needs to take another Casper test for the April intake? Thanks!

Hi guys,

I am a bit confused, my application still says pending department review.

Is that where you guys were notified of the non-offer or somewhere else?

I applied for the September intake and didn’t get  in and this is what admissions told me:

“If you reapply for January 2022 then the CASPer test you wrote in February 2021 is still within the deadline.  If you are not successful for January and apply for April 2022 then you will have to retake CASPer”

I think you can only use the Casper once per year or every 2 intakes is my understanding

Mine still says pending department review too

Hey guys, I applied for September intake and I’ve been accepted to the January intake.

here’s my experience:

it’ll say “pending department review” until they reach out to you through my communications. I noticed the status changes first before they send the email out a few hours later. I’d keep checking!!
