Hi guys,
I thought that now would be an appropriate time to start a new topic for the prospective BCIT nursing students for Jan 2014 (similar threads for previous intakes are also a great source of information).
Hopefully we can share tips, answer questions to the best of our ability, and communicate with each other about when status changes are released and whatnot. Now we can all play the waiting game together, haha!
I think we can find the exact amount here :)

I don't know what it costs exactly but the letter we got when short-listed says: "approximately $3200 (plus Upass fees of $30 per month)" and "additional Level 1 expenses are estimated to be $2000 and include: textbooks, supplies (e.g. uniforms, shoes, stethoscope), CPR and Fit Test certifications and copying."
Maybe this will help,
All new books (optional and required) come to about $1400...Then scrubs, stethoscope, new kicks, a watch maybe and then school supplies like binders, books, pens, etc.

^I applied today for student loans.. On the tuition deferral application, it says you need your student loan application number and you also need to have paid the commitment fee. Technically, your student loan needs to be approved but how the department expects it to go through within 5-6 business days, I have no idea. I figure as long as I provide them with the number, pay my $200 and keep them updated, it'll be fine.
