BCIT January 2014 Applicants

Published

Hi guys,

I thought that now would be an appropriate time to start a new topic for the prospective BCIT nursing students for Jan 2014 (similar threads for previous intakes are also a great source of information).

Hopefully we can share tips, answer questions to the best of our ability, and communicate with each other about when status changes are released and whatnot. Now we can all play the waiting game together, haha! ;)

agreed. my last name starts with a P

Acceptance offered!! My last name starts with L if that helps. Good luck everyone!! :)

My status just changed! Provisional acceptance! So relieved especially after a stressful day of midterms. Good luck to everyone!! :)

acceptance offered! YAY!! What a load off my shoulders!! Congrats to everyone that got in! :)

I got an acceptance offer!!!! Finally what a relief and I thought I had no chance at the beginning. Good luck everyone!!!!!!

So for those of us who don't have all the tuition money upfront, do we send the nursing department our student loan application #?

I got an offer!! Wooooooooooo. Can't wait to meet all of you in January. @caroline1991 I am also applying for student loans. It says in the email that we were sent that you can do a fee deferral. So they will adjust your deadline until your loans come in, you just have to apply for the deferral and pay the $200 that you wouldn't get back anyways.

Also, does anyone know exactly what our cost for tuition is? I can't find somewhere that says the exact amount or is it just right in front of my face and I can't see it?

Oh duh haha I'm obviously blind! Thanks!

I don't know what it costs exactly but the letter we got when short-listed says: "approximately $3200 (plus Upass fees of $30 per month)" and "additional Level 1 expenses are estimated to be $2000 and include: textbooks, supplies (e.g. uniforms, shoes, stethoscope), CPR and Fit Test certifications and copying."

For a deferral fee u need to talk to financial aid :) I started level one in August. The program is amazing!

Congrats to those accepted!
