My application status says "insufficient" because I handed in midterm grades for 2 of the required courses. I honestly don't know what will happen next! I'm so tempted to call and bug everyone from the advising committee, but I dont think itll help me! Lol. Congrats to all who have been shortlisted! Keep us updated on the details and questionnaire! Hi cesh! My friend also submitted her midterm grades and they sent her an email saying that She should submit her final marks by may 26. Although there is no garentee that there will be a seat for her.just depends if seats are still available ?

Cesh, I applied with midterm grades as well and I have had so much contradictory information! The first adviser I spoke to told me I couldn't apply with midterm grades. Then they updated their admission process so I contacted them again. This time the adviser told me I could apply but it would depend on how much space they have... I just sent in my application a few days ago so I haven't heard back from them yet. I'm crossing my fingers that they will consider us!

Oh wow! I thougt I was the only one who got so confused!! My letter says I need to hand in my final marks before the application deadline, which is tomorrow! I have been getting different information too! From what I understand, if the application status is insufficient, it wont get look at! But yeah, they said it depends on the amount of applicants they get! It is kind of upsetting because it feels like they just wanted people to apply even when it is automatically a no.

Liquoricetea, what are you missing? Im just doing human anatomy II and my other general elective(anth 123)!

Yeah when you click on the link to the "new admission procedures" it clearly says you can use midterm grades. It would be very misleading if they didn't even look at our applications! So did they send you that letter just recently after you submitted your application? I'm taking A&P right now too!

They sent it to me a week after I applied! When I went to the info session last Nov., the advisor said that they still have to forward ur application to the nursing committe for further consideration even with just ur midterm mark. Although he emphasized that there's only about 10% chance that you'd get in, they still said that theyd consider! Did you check ur "my communication" on ur bcit account?

That's so weird! Why would they tell you to send final grades by April 1st and tell someone else they have until May 26th!? Hmmm I haven't heard anything from them yet, I just sent my application last Friday. My application still says awaiting review... I'll let you know what they say when I hear from them!

Yeah, I'm going to call them tomoro to see whats gonna happen to our application. I'll let you know the details after I talk to them!

I also applied with midterm grades for my APII.

I finished my course but my transcript wasn't going to arrive in time for the April 1st deadline.

When I emailed nursing admissions about it, they told me to just apply with my midterm grades and send them the transcript ASAP when I get it.

Now hearing about what some of you guys heard about midterm grades being given lower chance/priority, I'm a little worried. :down:

Oh my gosh, I am so upset with myself. I mailed my transcript to BCIT not realizing I had to prepare them as PDFs.

Now my application is insufficient and spots will probably fill up fast...

xmichelle, just upload ur pdf file again (go to application summary on your bcit account, it gives you the option to upload files on the bottom of the page) and email them about it. I dont think that should be a problem! You have till midnight! Or till tomoro?

Chiseen, I am defntly callin tomoro to ask about our application. It just seems unfair if they won't even look at it because I'm sure theres more than enough applicants with complete requirements that applied!
