Hmmm yeah. I know what you mean. I took some critical reading and writing classes too for uni English requirements and it was hella boring. Kinda bummed that I have to do that stuff again for LIBS 7001.

Thanks for giving some light on online LIBS 7002. I was thinking about doing LIBS 7001 and 7002 both online this summer. Since you say it's not that much work, I just might :)

Yeah it's not too bad. I spend between 1 to 2 hours per week doing the readings/watching the videos, and then maybe 30 mins to answer the question :) I forgot to mention, there's also a 1200 word essay. Not sure how the marking is for the essay or final cause I havent done them yet..

Hi everyone!! I'm also applying for this Aug '14 intake! Have you guys actually applied already? I wonder how long we'll have to wait to know if we're accepted or not! Anyone else handing in a midterm mark? I'll be taking libs 7001 and 7002 this summerr, i hope i dont get bored!! Haha! I'm a little too excited and nervous at the same time because it will be my first time applying for bcit nursing. Goodluck everyone!:)

Hey @Cesh! I'm still working on the additional information portion. Probably going to submit it this weekend. Are you taking LIBS 7001 and 7002 in class or online? This is also my first time applying :)

Also, I see that you're commenting on the Jan 2015 Intake thread too. Hopefully I can get in this intake... maybe I can defer it to Jan 2015... but I'm not sure how the deferral system works for this.

Hi, yea I've submitted everything now. and they sent me an email saying that my application was sent to the nursing department already. But they are going to review it after application deadline which is April 1st!

Since I applied last intake, they told us that we are not allowed to defer if we are offered a seat unless its a medical emergency.

I just sent out my application today! Diandroid, yes, that was me on the other thread. They changed a lot of the requirements,so, I figured I'll try it out this Aug. I'm taking Libs 7001 and 7002 in class cos I just prefer it that way.

That makes senses Lnguyen, does that mean you meet all the requirements if they already sent it to the nursing department for review? I hope they don't won't make us wait too long!

I'm not sure @cesh. They never said or it doesn't show on my application that I completed all the pre req. But I'm pretty sure I have everything . yea lol I hate waiting. Hopefully they tell us by mid April! Good luck:nailbiting:

I received an email from BCIT Nursing saying that I've been shortlisted for final consideration. My next step is to complete a 4 question online questionnaire that opens April 02.

Has anyone else received this?! I submitted my application this past Saturday and wasn't expecting to hear anything until after the April 01 application deadline!

My understanding from last year's thread, is that they everyone has to complete the questionnaire for further consideration. However, if someone was accepted to the Jan 2014 cycle and deferred their accepted to Aug 2014, they wouldn't have to complete the questionnaire because they've already been accepted.

Due to some last minute finding out that I actually had all the requirements to apply into this program, I just recently finished my incomplete application and sent it in a few days ago :facepalm: . Hopefully I'm not too late in joining your guys' party. I am quite surprised that the deadline for applying into this program is April 1st considering UBC's one was like 2 months ago. Do you guys know what the typical turn around time is for finding out whether you area shortlisted or not?
