BCIT August 2014 Applicants

Seeing as it's almost time for the start of the August 2014 intake applications, I figured it apt to start this thread now.

This will be my second time applying (applied previously for august 2013).

Currently working on finish my second A&P course and will be finishing my undergraduate degree next semester!

Congrats Stephara and everyone who got short-listed! I just got the short-list email, I'm still waiting for my final grades so I wasn't expecting it yet! Also curious about how many seats they have left...

Congrats to everyone!! I just received my email about being shortlisted as well!! Yikes!! Super exciting! Yeah I'm also wondering how many seats are left? Are there 96 seats in total?

Hi everyone,

I was accepted into the program yesterday morning! So excited to finally have an answer and begin planning!! Best of luck on the questionnaire to those of you shortlisted!

Here are some of my stats:

- Bachelor of Commerce (cumulative avg 77.4%, last 30 credits avg approx. 81%)

- Anatomy and Physiology prereqs (87% and 91%)

- High school pre-reqs (90+%)

- 4.5 years work experience as a business analyst and project manager

- Fairly extensive volunteer experience but only in the health care field in the last 8 months (Vancouver costal health, social media consultant, United Way campaign, sorority president, CIBC Run for the Cure team captain, etc). Quite a few of my volunteer experiences were in leadership roles, not sure if this was a factor.

Hey Cesh, what was the books that you bought for LIBS 7001? On the BCIT website, it says we need to get the course reader but apparently there's another book called Strategies for Critical Writing?

Got a reply from BCIT, approximately 150 applicants were shortlisted for 96 seats. I think that's the total number and not just for the second round of shortlist.

diandroid, I only see 1 book, which is the course reader:S And chiseen, did they say how many more seats are left for the second batch of people that has been short-listed?
