BCIT August 2014 Applicants

Seeing as it's almost time for the start of the August 2014 intake applications, I figured it apt to start this thread now. :D

This will be my second time applying (applied previously for august 2013).

Currently working on finish my second A&P course and will be finishing my undergraduate degree next semester!

I was just shortlisted for the August intake and about to do the online questionnaire. I am just wondering how the questions are framed and how do I prepare for those questions?

Hi WillAstro! Congrats on being shortlisted :) I don't want to give too much away but I personally thought that the information committee did a great job of sending out enough information to suitably prepare for the questionnaire. So if you read everything you were sent you will be fine! Good luck :)

Just a quick question about the questionnaire. How many words are allowed per question?

250 word limit! It gives you that info on D2L prior to starting the questionnaire.

Just answer Myaconnor's question, the word limit is 250 for each question, I think.

Hi WillAstro! The questions are non-cognitive (ie not based on the info given in the resources). Rather, they are more personal (scenario based). I hope that helps :)

I just finished writing the on-line questionnaire! Like what stephara said, it is basically what they tell you on the letter. Goodluck to those who have not written it yet!:D

And just an update about how many more seats are available, they replied to me saying that less than half of the seats have been filled. So, they short-listed ~150 and there are a total of 96 seats! Hopefully that means we all have a good chance of getting in!

Thanks for the update Cesh, that makes me feel like a whole lot more optimistic! I've been trying to prepare for the questionnaire the last few days, I'm just about to start it :S
